When I read this morning that Sir Sidney Poitier had passed on, I remembered this tearing speech. Sidney epitomized decency. I am grateful I named my daughter after him. Rest in power Sidney.

For the Gen Z out there, a "phone book" is a big book of phone numbers of all the people or businesses nearby, popular before Google. A "book" is a stack of websites printed on paper and bound together. "Paper" is a thin sheet that people used to put words on, before laptops were invented.

How more elegant could a man be? WOW! This man embodies the word "elegance." And his voice!!! Like someone commented, I really could hear this man for 24 hours and never get tired of that voice. And he is 80 years old?!! WOW! And you, dear Denzel, I hope there would be someone who could say the same thing to you later. " I will always follow in your footsteps, sir. There is nothing I would rather do.

Daniel Toma Morgan Freeman is a GREAT actor! I remember him as "Easy Reader" from The Electric Company show in my childhood, but Morgan isn't really a "Leading Man" as an actor. He is usually cast in a supporting role. Sidney was a Leading Man, as is Denzel, that's why I think of Denzel first.
