It’s an honor she deserves it. She is the only second black women to receive an honorary Oscar. ❤ After she was snubbed twice. The Academy paid her back by giving her this award. A lot good actors get snubbed Olivia Coleman is another woman who got snubbed she was nominated 8 times. And never won.

All what was said is so true. I meant Angela Bassett years ago in Norfolk Virginia. She was attending a golf tournament. At the hotel that she was staying waiting in the lobby she took time and spoke with my young daughter. She gave her kind words and a big hug. She took her time speaking with her and gave my daughter a huge complement. My daughter and I never forgot. Much love Ms. Bassett.
