@@OscarUnderdog The way you approach music production is very hands on and to the point. Most schools/studies/courses give a lot of (lack of better words) "extra information" which tend to obscure the parts that you actually want to know. Although that "extra information" serves it's purpose, it feels a lot of times to much information. Plus I experienced that most teachers forget how much they know and assume you have the same frame of reference. You do not, Oscar and that really makes these videos of great learning value. Keep it up! And thank you.

The power of keeping the whole recording standing by is shocking to me. As I learned sampling in the early days of useful hardware samplers, I could never have tied up so much memory in order to facilitate this workflow. Of course with contemporary software/hardware capabilities there's no immediate need to create discrete, permanent chunks you can no longer taylor. It's a whole new way of thinking for me. Not sure my noodle can handle the freedom🤩

Every time I see this tutorial it blows me away. There is a similar one at EDM Tips, and I am going to try and combine the two techniques for my new track which I am almost done with featuring the late Carl Sagan and Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane. It's taken me hours to get right but rewatching this tutorial I can see where I am going wrong. This is one of those mind-blowing tutorials that I just keep coming back to in order to reinforce my understanding. Brilliant.

It's funny, I really like the smallest sliced stuff, but the larger stuff ("aching"? at 1:26) annoys me enough that it's hard to listen to. It's been twenty years now, but it reminds me of BT or Moby, that I thought were fantastic the first two or three times, but I came to detest so much that I don't want to hear any of them ever again. ("Oh lordy lord, trouble so hard". It's been two decades!) What's the reason for hating artificially repeated vocals so much? Does this happen to anyone else or just me?
