I'm really frustrated that they did away with the joystick-down-to-change-backlight shortcut. Support asked if I wanted to exchange for the original but I don't want to sacrifice image quality.

Thanks for the review, one question if I may... The monitor aceppts upto 4k 30fps... You are still able to record say 4k60 fps on the camera, without the monitor going blank?

Thank you for all the information. Good video! I look for a high bright monitor without a fan, for recordings in the nature of Portugal, quite hot here, without any fan noise. Would the old Osee make it without overheating? And, I film in V-Log, can you lower the contrast and enhance saturation a bit also if you use the inbuilt conversation Lut?

Yeah the fan speed should be automatically adjusted according to internal temperature not ambient. This is basic common sense I would have thought.

Was the addition of a fan because the fanless had reliability issues?

Okay, so how can I tell if I have the new or old version by looking at it? Is there a serial number series?

@@HarvVideoAudioStuff Oh, interesting. First impressions from me... great monitor... but color was waay off. Super saturated. Had to switch it do D65 to get it close, but it's still off a bit. No way that I can tell to calibrate it using a calibrator. No firmware updates that I can see. The firmware download link on the site goes no where. I'm on the fence between the Osee T7 and the Atomos Shinobi 7

Thank you for this video. I just got mine last week and apparently it’s old version. I would have thought buying direct, I’d get latest version, but no. Now dealing with them through fb group, hopefully they’ll do the right thing.

Just an update that I received the replacement monitor yesterday and it is indeed the new one with fan and no speaker. Thanks again Harv for the info.

Thank you for your videos. They help a lot. A small question. What would you recommend between OSEE T7 and PORTKEYS LH7P for me. Mostly I shoot foods, indoors, with manual focus. I need a monitor with decent clarity and color accuracy. Thanks.
