Well, there were definitely a few trolling her, but most were trying to be helpful. It was definitely funny seeing her hiding the debug status after listening to chat's suggestions, though. Quite the tease.

To be fair, until January of this year I was still rocking a GTX 970. I finally got a new computer this year for the first time in about 9 years and I'm pretty happy with it. I jumped up 3 operating systems and I don't even know how many gens my CPU/GPU jumped but I do know that the RAM jumped 2 iterations as well as quadrupling in its amount.

A bit off topic, but I feel like people focus too much on GPU specs when it comes to vtubers. CPU matters a lot more for games like Minecraft, although pretty much anything can run it. Vtuber models also use a lot of CPU power, although you still need a good GPU. Although I might be a bit biased, since I mostly just play strategy/4X games where it is handling thousands of units, but not rendering anything in high resolution.

It makes sense to have Nvidia since they play Minecraft, but just for the ray tracing. It also makes sense to sell your soul for a rtx4090 to play above 60fps without the couple, few?, fake frame generating. Ray tracing is just not really worth it outside of minecraft and only using fake frames like DLSS or FSR if you're struggling. Hopefully she has a GPU support bracket before it starts bending. All gpus are likely in it need of it and some come with it even.

A GTX 1050Ti will do almost anything you need it to really. Just turn off ray tracing. I'm on a 1060 and I've been playing Dark Souls III without issue. Gonna try Elden Ring soon. I expect worst case scenario is I have to turn down the resolution a little.

Honestly idk why everybody so shoked or hyped. Its not fkin mainframe, its a computer 3000$ worth of parts. Expensive, sure, currently top end-user desktop, yep. But nothing unobtainable for anyone with, ehem, job. I'd rather be curious about other parts: her capture + mic setup probably worth more. For some streamers it could be 10 times more.

Capture card side is probably really cheap, since a lot of people use the simplest elgato USB capture cards, instead of like an avermedia pcie card. Also yeah, audio stuff can cost so much more than the PC itself while being 10 times more unreliable.
