@Bocchidachi7 ай бұрын
I was in a really dark place 5-ish years ago and I'm sure i don't need to explain what that means. From clips of a war criminal rabbit to the soothing drawing streams of a certain priestess, i can remember vividly now how Hololive was the beginning of the regression of my depression. Then, out of nowhere, where i just happened to be on lunch, just happened to be during an Ina stream, who just happened to draw something to make me want to pop my super chat cherry, all within this 30 minute break from life, Ina said something along the lines of "...you should help yourself before you start sending Supa's to me..." (I'm paraphrasing, its been a while). Its such a simple and obvious way of thinking. Anyone could have said this, but Ina said it exactly when i needed to hear it because even though to truly help yourself out of that dark mindset is easier said than done, the simple philosophy behind that phrase has kept me going every time i felt like breaking or wanting to give up. Why not try a little more before giving it all up? Before sending a Supa, can you keep up with rent? How about your food budget? Anything you can do for your parents? What can you do to make it happen? You should start working out, Maybe you can Adopt that kitten that's been Abandoned near your house, etc. All this time, I've yet to send a Super chat to any Holomem, but id like to think that Hololive really did save me because today i currently run two businesses with one of them practically becoming self sufficient (Laundromat) and the other doing well enough to move onto a bigger space (Restaurant). Today, I'm now busier than ever, too busy to keep up with live streams of anyone, especially the live streams of my now Kami Oshi, Ina. I'd have to plan for cover like I'm trying to go on vacation just to catch a Live Birthday stream for a few hours haha. To say Hololive saved my life is an understatement. Idk where this life would have been without those exact small series of events just happening to line up with that singular moment that opened my eyes to an entire world view that changed my life for the better. I'm happier than ever, and if/when my worries are gone or miniscule, I'll finally send that Super Chat to those who lead me here, granted I'm confident enough to have joined a Membership for almost a year now 😊

I'm about 98% sure her dad has alcoholism(literally needs alcohol to get through the day) just based on the little story she told about her dad getting black-out drunk every night. The gardening was most likely a way to keep himself focused and give him a reason not to drink till he blacks out. It's great that his health has recovered, but I think it'd be a good idea for him to see a therapist about it or at least go to AA. Most if not all addictions stem from some kind of trauma.
