I would like to see a new development zone for tiny homes. Perhaps 500 square foot fenced in lots with required services. Bring your own tiny home and hook it up and away you go. Yes, sounds like bubbles may even like it. Many Canadians have huge homes to store the junk they don't use or need.

So you pay $6000 a year and have nothing to show for it. A mortgage payment on a $180,000.00 mortgage would be not much more than your 500 payment but after a year your home would have increased in value by at least 5 percent. That means you paid out 6000 but earned $10,000.00.

Yeah I've looked into it as well, pretty sure that both the ladder and the ceiling hight on the second level are not to code.

Waiting to hear back from the building official about the loft and stairs/ladder thing, because yes it does state in the code that what was seen here is not legal... so I'm curious about this set-up. I suppose there is always the possibility they did it illegally... but then i wouldn't blast it over national TV haha so, who knows. I'm interested to find out more info on these details.

I have been seriously considering switching to a tiny home . I am in the researching phase right now , lol. I was thinking that the price for this tiny home is crazy (well it is ) , but I guess we have to look at a few things here. 1. Its in a city , anything in a city even with a lower price is still usually always expensive.2.The house comes with land (backyard) so the land would be upping the price . 3. Of course whoever is selling wants to make a profit. There is more , but I'm not going to go on......... Anyway , that is just half of my two cents , lol.

My understanding of the GTA is that it is York, Halton, Peel, Durham (the 905 area) and the city of Toronto (the 416 area) combined. It covers a huge area. Oshawa is part of the GTA.

Well I thought Oshawa was it's own area not part of the GTA but still what are Condo sizes and costs now at least that place is detached.
