The way the set works is the stage is 360 degrees around the entire audience, and then it rotates. That way you can save time on switching scenes because the other actors are already ready on the other parts of the stage instead of needing to stop everything and clearing it out, they can just rotate to another part of the stage with the next scene ready. In addition the "curtain" is actually a cinema screen so they can play visuals and use it to block and highlight things.

There is also a specific child star issue theme here. Kid stars have an expiration date on them, because cute is only going to get you so far. It must be crashing to come to the realisation that you are now one of the many actors/singers etc..and you have to up your game or you become a disappointment or obsolete. This after being the little darling, when you probably didn't even realize what was happening.

Kid Akane really resambled the past Kana. If you remember, Kana used to say about how Ai got her very first acting job due to her popularity as an idol, not as an actor and it made Kana very upset becaue the producer staff were like didn't recognise their acting skill. But and then she grew and realise that at some point she only had her name as her value to got whatever the jobs were available.
