Oshkosh 2021 arrival in a RV-12iS

Oshkosh 2021 was the first year for this new VFR arrival procedure. It was also my first time flying to Oshkosh. I decided to film the last leg of my trip from New Jersey. We're flying a 2021 Van's Aircraft RV-12iS.
We start off at Hartford, WI (HXF) which I picked as my last stop before Oshkosh due to fuel prices and proximity to Oshkosh. I wanted to arrive at Oshkosh with full tanks.
While the arrival NOTAM was some 15 pages long, only a few of them pertained to VFR arrivals for everyday airplanes. I did not know which runway I would be assigned until I arrived at FISK which was a little unsettling, but the controllers were great at giving frequencies and telling you your next step. Come prepared, but memorization of every detail is unnecessary.

Wow great job landing on the green dot. That pattern was crazy. And the taxi to the tie down was incredible even in fast forward motion!

Great video - thanks for posting. I'm pretty sure you can use that mogas in your -12is, btw. In fact, I thought it was preferred over avgas for that engine.

it sure is preferred! theres less frequent maintenance regarding cleaning out the oil tank.. along with longer life of the gearbox before overhaul.

@RV12iS flyer, can you provide these RV or do you mean that an other RV is better ( faster )? I think about to change the plane AA5A to RV. Greetings from Germany.

Q: in the RV HBC area, if you arrive early do you get parked further from show line or closer? In other words, do they fill up from the back or from the front?

It seemed like they filled spots from the taxiway, outward. How far down the taxiway..(going toward the HBC pavilion)... Mmm it seemed like there were predesignated areas for various models of RV. It being my first time.. I just went with the flow for everything..
