The Saturday of the 2017 EAA AirVenture airshow in Oshkosh, WI was quickly dubbed 'Bomber Day' thanks to the amazing segment that featured all three modern USAF bombers (the B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, and B-52 Stratofortress) plus a number of WWII bombers (BOTH B-29 Superfortresses "Doc" and "Fifi", a B-17 Flying Fortress, and five B-25 Mitchells). Watch all of these amazing aircraft perform formation and single flybys in an incredible display of airpower!

The best airshow presenter is a quiet one, we want the sound of engines, the planes, nothing more , Who agrees ? Introduce the flyby , then pause and be quiet !

As much as I enjoy fighter flybys, nothing beats the visual intimidation factor of a bomber flying overhead.

Is there any way we could all band together and sign a petition, then locate who to send it to that lets them know that the announcers should only talk when there aren't planes near or overhead? Seriously- how can they not know how many people it pisses off?

The B-2 has 4 F-16 engines, the B-1 can go supersonic and sounds like a rocket at full afterburner, yet the B-52 is still louder than both of them combined

Love you yanks, not bothered about showing your patriotism! In England it's becoming very unpolitically incorrect to support and recognise what so many heroes did to save their way of life! 👍👏

Politically incorrect you say? Who gives a shit if it offends some soft little snowflake. You should be proud of your country and those that sacrificed everything to fight back the onslaught of the natzi invasion . Wear your patriotism proudly. 🇬🇧 I hate to say it, but that poetically incorrect mentality is growing here as well. I however don’t give a shit if my patriotism offends a liberal. It actually brings me joy to offend those soft little snowflake liberals. I gladly rub it in their faces!🇺🇸

I was to three OshKosh events scattered through the 80's. For those wanting to hear engines as they fly by, there really isn't anything spectacular as the planes are "idling" along at slow speed. The only planes whose noise level really loud was the Harrier lifting straight up and hovering. First prize for volume was the Concorde. That thing was soooo loud it vibrated your bones. It didn't matter if you plugged your ears because the sound went straight through you. That was on a touch-n-go when they shoved the throttles to the wall. What an incredible machine it was but I understand economics and the Concorde was high maintenance.

Could someone make the announcer shut up while the planes are overhead and we want to hear just the planes?? The announcer's information can be found anywhere anytime--but not the sound of these magnificent airplanes. Maybe provide people with headphones or some way to tune into the announcer if you want to hear that instead of the planes.

The announcer made three errors during the bomber parade: 1- The First Flight of the B-52 was in 1952, not 1954. 2- Afganistan is in South Asia, not the Middle East. And 3- The TF33 produces 18,000lbs of thrust, not 17,000lbs. Overall, great video, guys.

I have been watching a few videos from 2017. I started out thinking about how "I should go to Oshkosh some day." LIKE HELL. What on EARTH does it take to shut these idiot moron announcers up? If airshows need to have announcers talking through ABSOLUTELY EVERY MINUTE of the show, I'll never go to another air show again, so long as I live.

What a pity a B-36 Peacemaker couldn't have been there alongside those B-29's. It would have dwarfed them. It was the crucial link between piston-engine and jet bombers. Six P & W R4360 engines plus four turbojets. Sadly not one is airworthy or probably ever will be.

He's better than Screamin Rob Reider who cant help himself but to scream into the Mike and be absolutely ridiculous not to mention extremely pompous.

@johnosbourn4312
@johnosbourn4312 5 жыл бұрын
True, but, the Air Force won't send the B-2 to the Boneyard, which is at Davis Mothan AFB, Tucson, Airizona; instead, they'll fly them back to Palmdale's Air Force Plant-42. The only time the air force had a storage facility in Texas, was right after the end of WW-2, in early September '45, and that site was located in Pyote, Texas. It was later closed when DOD decided to make the site at DM AFB, the only Storage Facility for USAF, and US Army aircraft, at first, then when the Navy closed down NAS Litchfield Park, aircraft from the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard started being sent to DM, which resulted in the site being renamed as MASDC: Military Aircraft Storage, and Disposition Center. Today the place is known as AMARC: Aerospace Maintenence, and Regeneration Center. Assigned to AFMC's 309th AMARG, 309th Maintenence Wing.
