​@aryanghosh6825 in the military half the time they just say get in that truck over there in get going. It's all a military licensing and dependent on what your job is. That class of vehicle typically falls under the army code 88M for truck drivers. I know most of our mechanics that drove those wreckers had dual classifications of 88M and whatever lightwheel mechanic fell under. Can't say if the 88M was required though. Army licensing is kind of a joke.

no doubt. Mine was an E1 model and I could still cruise at 70 with 2x up armored PLSs each with an 1165 on their back and on a trailer behind them ....cruise at 70 like it wasn't even back there.

I drove this beautiful machine for 8 years. That thing is impossible to get stuck in. Like, you deliberately have to get it stuck in something and even then, it's not stuck for long.

Used to have a video where they hooked an Abrams tank up to one of those sleds. It pulled it as far as they had room for. The tank won.

No idea, but one CAN sometimes get their hands on a Tatra 813 (or the newer 815) ex-military truck from (former) Czechoslovakia that will also out-tow pretty much anything you can think of. ?v=RMCe4S0kaIE, oPhKXyIb2CA, 4Ue-CuPYQ24, 5W2sZlY4 and more. Some of them were built to tow up to 100 tonnes (~220,000 lbs). And that was back in the 1960s!
