This guy is a great teacher and I am glad to see he is teaching what he loves. It makes a big difference for students when their teacher is good. Not all students will flourish in all subjects as some of them will only slowly realise that they rather love this topic or hate it. Those however who love it, with this mans teaching will do very well. I wish I had a good teacher like this in university. Would have saved me hours and hours of extra study. These students if reading this, respect this man and appreciate his teaching style, you wont find many like this.

In case anyone needs the REAL basics like I just did an hour ago, a stack model like this is a way of dividing the process of sending a message into different components. Each layer represents a key stage in the transfer of the message from one computer to another.

This was such an amazing explanation of this! I’m currently completing the course program on Coursera for the Google IT Support Specialist Cert. to dip my toes in the water of where I’d like to go with myself in IT. And for whatever reason, the Networking course is so poorly explained that it’s difficult to understand without outsourcing to KZbin for most of the nitty gritty details that I didn’t understand. I for 15 years couldn't make myself learn OSI. Now with LLMs i asked them frist explain OSI as is. THen i asked to give examples of how OSI is applied in YOutube, for example, or Mail apps and such. It became much clearer and understandable. Then i asked to make table with 3 columns (3 apps) and compare each "stage" with layer of OSI. ANd now i understand.
