You can do reverse imaging on web for more than 10 years now. Nothing new here, except there are way faster and simpler tools for this, what tell you the coordinate of the place on the image in a second. And before that, it was the same, but took longer, since you had to compare your image/info with the offline google aka public archives and/or libraries.

Loved this vid thanks, lots of helpful tips and tricks. Interestingly the blue painted boat disappears after 2017 it seems.

Great tips! Thanks for taking the time. A few notes I noticed: 5:12 Be careful using AI cleanup tools on images to be used in further research. AI fills that info like a toddler colors - by looking at everything it has seen before and guessing at what it should look like. If previous examples were really good, the result can be too, but AI _ALWAYS_ has an error rate. This means that the more you "fix" the more likely the wrong things will get filled in. Another issue is that this Egyptian wall has many easily identifiable features. AI is much more likely to get more general landscapes or cityscapes wrong because there are more example 'memories' to draw from. 18:57 Also be VERY careful to vet any extensions you install into your browser. Many threat alerts have come out in the last few years showing extensions and apps on all app stores that work just as advertised but _also_ send data or install malware in the background. 21:27 Google Lens is trained to be tailored _to you_ so the more you use it, the better its results get. (I own a Pixel phone that said so. If this is no longer the case, please alert me.) 45:01 The _gps locs_ are accurate to centimeters, but the _camera's recording of gpc location_ is only accurate to a few meters, and is limited by national government control of imaging satellites. While satellites _can_ get the location to within centimeters, this detail is restricted to government and military use.
@AutarchKade2 жыл бұрын
I don't think the AI cleanup will be a problem at all considering one of their steps is verification they got the location correct. They aren't coloring like a toddler then claiming that result is all that's needed lol
@LabGecko2 жыл бұрын
@@AutarchKade please hit read more and read that whole section. You're oversimplifying the problem. The more you tell AI to paint in, the more likely it will fill with things that look right but are from other places. Because most current AI can be very good at this, humans often don't notice the difference -subtle things like using French chimneys or window shutters instead of Swedish ones - and that can drastically chance the error rate even with careful verification.

a good method for starters, but there are much more sophisticated methods to anlalyze not only location, but the time and date, IMEI of device used to take photo, who bought it, and where they are now, and their behavioral habits, to predict where they will be next. Stripping the metadata first is important when uploading images

If you want to be truly invisible just relax, don’t panic. First accept the fact that you’re being surveyed by those you know and those you don’t know. If you try to defeat them now there will be something to take it’s place so just take it easy. Breath in, breath out. Just relax and take notes what it is and who they are. May take some time but it’s when you need to be invisible that matters. Once you’re gone , and once you released all your dependency which allows them to track you you will be free. But for now it makes no sense , they expect it, they also expect there will be those who defeats all their devices. For now just be smarter , the less they know you know the easier it will be for you and the harder for them to find you . Just be ready. Have a nice day . Won’t see you later . Peace.

I hide without trying. I always say security is practices, not products. I share nothing that can be geolocated, all my machines that hold anything private, are airgapped, the only thing I use my credit card for, is to take out cash and buy a prepaid Visa. I developed these habits from my time in the Army and coming up in the 80s and being with the internet from its birth; in the day when there was no perception of trust. Its weird to me that people give *everyone* their email, post stuff they dont want everyone to see and use their credit card at half a dozen different websites a day.
