Cherokee elder ᏥᎨᏳᎢ Weynema Smith has lived her life according to her grandparents' teachings. Cherokee lifeways were instilled in her at a young age, and she has never been shy about sharing her knowledge. Her dedication to teaching the Cherokee language and preserving our culture has inspired countless Cherokees to deepen their cultural connections.
