Advice from me to you and I am sure you will thank me for this advice, which is when you go to a Muslim country, do you remember to ask them about Islam as I do, and I am sure that you will experience a completely different experience before and after this question, but especially in an Arab country Remember that Islam has absolutely nothing to do with Arabs, it is a religion that includes all people of any kind I'm sure you'll have a completely different experience after asking )What is Islam@@@@ (can I learn more about it@@@)

As a Maltese I enjoyed watching your videos on Malta :) To answer your question, the 'dust' on cars is actually sand. We have "xita tal-hamrija" which translates to the "rain of soil" which is apparently rain that travels from North Africa and the sand is the residue that is left from that rain 🤷♀ We get that type of rain in Spring and Autumn mostly.

GREAT that you got to see M'dina but while it got its name from the city in Arabia, it's far older than the Arabic occupation. It was originally called Melita and was the capital city from Phoenician times onward- and no accident that one could see Valetta and virtually the whole Maltese coast from its walls since they built it so they could be ready for invading navies and merchant ships! Oh and Melita was also the original name for the island of Malta which meant 'land of honey' and its honey was savored all over the Mediterranean from at least Ancient Greek times (and I hope you got to have some since it's fantastic).

Dan and Oskar, I arrived on the day the Azure window fell into the ocean with the specific intention of filming it! Imagine that, It had been standing probably for over two hundred years and I chose the wrong day, wrong year , wrong century. I made a little video about it too. Azure was the pride of Malta.

Helloooooo, little note that the Azure Window was actually a fairly new/recent rock formation. The sea is so powerful it's constantly creating and destroying. If you check out photos of the window in the 1950s and compare it to the 2000s, you can see just how much it changed in just 50 years.

Me and my bf (we're LGBT couple from Poland) didn't make it with driving on the left side in Malta. We rented a car but my bf who drove the car from the airport was schocked and terrifiied. We arrived at night. Firstly, we had to handle an extremely narrow village street with these stone-made fences. I was sitting beside my boyfriend and I was so worried that the car would rub against the wall on my side. Secondly, the markings, especially road surface markings were insuficcient and sometimes confusing. He wasn't sure how to cross the roundabouts. A lot of folks vere honking at us which was very stressful, especially for me because I had no control of what was happening whatsoever. My bf was cursing, furious and helpless. We made it to the hotel in Sliema and I was literally crying in our room. He approached me, hugged me and we decided not to use the car anymore. I called the rental agency and we resigned. We were using Bolt instead. It was very effecive and not so much expensive. We fell in love with Malta and we are plannig to visit it again in October - to get married :). Now we will try the local transportation.

Arabic words of places are common in Malta. So not strange to see the city of Mdina (meaning city in Arabic) or Rabat (meaning in Arabic is the stationing of the Islamic armies with their weapons and military equipment in places of danger and frontiers). But even Spain carries to this very day Arabic places such Al Hambra (reference to the red castle at the times of Andalusia) and Wadalajara (literally meaning the valley of dung), just to mention a few.

You leave from Mġarr port in Gozo. Depending on the queu, to get to the port at Ċirkewwa Malta, between 30-1hr. Then from Ċirkewwa to Sliema it's from 30 mins to... 2hrs because traffic during works hours is a bitch.
