Japan is home to the Shinkansen, the world's first bullet train when it was built in the 1960s.
The country is currently building a new train line from Tokyo to Osaka that will be TWICE as fast as the current trains😱🤯

Japan's Shinkansen trains are designed to depart within one minute of arriving at the station. Therefore, one minute and one second...one second late is reported to headquarters. So we announce a delay of 12 seconds per year. In many places, the time is controlled in seconds to make 240 km/h every 15 minutes. Then the train departs the station and the crew visually checks for safety until it leaves the platform with the windows open. Rain or snow, 365 days a year. I really can only thank those who are involved in Shinkansen operations.

@@johnlacey3857 I understand that. Another issue with travelling with bags in Japan is that larger bags can only be put behind specific seats in the train. There are no bag racks so only a very few amounts of bags can be taken and it is required to reserve those particular seats if larger bags are taken. I was also a bit apprehendious about sending bags but we did it 3 times and it worked very well
