Here in America there was a tv show called Wishbone which aired on our public broadcasting network, PBS. Mochi reminds me of Wishbone. Wishbone was a “talking” dog who lived with a family and played out various novels and stories like Sherlock Holmes among others. The point of the show was to encourage children to read. Many episodes are on KZbin. The dogs who played Wishbone had the same expressive face as Mochi, who is a fabulous food inspector. Have a wonderful weekend.

A few viewers have mentioned that show, and I looked it up on KZbin. What a wonderful show! The dog is amazing and so cute. Impressed that it was trained so well! I would have loved the show as a kid. Unfortunately we didn't have it over here. Wishbone is a Jack Russell (I think), so almost the same as Mochi. 🐶

It's amazing how small the world is sometimes. I'm in the US, and I make squash soup in the exact same way (I think we even have the exact same pot (IKEA?)!! I always add sweet potatoes because I find the flavor is richer than with butternut squash alone. The only ingredient difference is I don't put ginger, and usually add thyme. I'll have to try it with ginger next time! I also boil the water in an electric kettle and dissolve the bouillon in a ladle in the soup pot to save on dishes. Wonderful channel, I love seeing how people around the world live their daily lives 😊
