I first discovered the OSMO pocket 3 while on vacation in Japan, noticed a guy carrying around what looked like a compact and cool looking camera and I inquired. I spent the next week looking at reviews, comparisons, results, etc., like this, and I was blown away, I had to have it. I searched several stores and could not find any in stock, until I came to Taiwan and managed to find a Sony retailer that had 2 left and I am in love! I sold my GoPro 12 hours later. DJI is the way to go moving forward, the battery life alone blows GoPro out of the water.

Every day, I watch various videos that review and compare the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. And every day, I change my mind about whether to buy one or the other. The worst part is, once I buy one, I'll wonder if the other would have been better. I’ll probably have to order both and test them.

I am in the same exact boat. I wish someone recorded DLOG samples in low light from both cameras.😢 But I am leaning towards Pocket 3 because of focus and depth of field. Action 5 is sharp everywhere and close up shots are simply boring and not interesting while on Pocket 3 you just get closer to an object and instantly the shot becomes very interesting. I think I will regret not having focus capabilities and lower image quality with Action 5 more than I would regret the build quality if I chose Pocket 3 because it’s not as rigid and reliable but I can leave with it. The price of the combo is killing me tho.

i already have pocket 3...right now waiting for action 5 pro to arrive. Might sell pocket3. Dont get me wrong, pocket 3 is a great camera. Excellent video quality in low light and stabilization. Action 5 pro might have micro jitter during lowlight shooting. The reason i order Action 5 Pro is because i feel pocket 3 so fragile. It slows me down during shooting. Have to carefully take out from case, carefully turn the screen to on, worried to throw inside bag and pocket without casing....so it slowed me down during shooting...

Pocket 3 is better for video quality hands down Action 5 is more rugged for rain or action videos. There. You decide now.

Video quality of action 5 pro is disappointing. After doing research reason for that is low bitrate. Dji has to push update soon. My go pro 8 looks way better in day. I have like 12 years of experience with dslr so I know what I am seeing

I’m looking for a small action camera, not for action, but for mall walking tours, city walks and walks at night in the city lights. I was about to buy the ace pro but then this action 5 dropped. Do you think the action 5 is a good option for evening and night walking videos? And mall walking? And does the action 5 have jittery effect in low light with artificial lights?

You can get the Action 5 Pro in a Vlog Combo. It comes with the wireless mic and the multi functional charging handle, it's a bit more expensive than the Adventure Combo mentioned in the video, but still a slightly lower cost than the Osmo Pocket 3.

@@Marian1st. according to DJI, these are called Osmo action anti-slip pad. I don’t know exactly when to use them. Thanks for asking and watching!

@@KaLokHong Thanks. Looks like those have the same function as washers in plumbing, or screwing. You put them on for more secure grip when you mount the camera to something. I never had an issue so I don’t think I’ll use them.
