I was planning on getting the shot but I got the flu Oct 11th. By the 13th I knew I had to call in sick. The 14th was horrible, but I picked myself up and got to the doctor (I found out I had Flu A). She gave me Tamiflu and everyday after that was an improvement. By the 17th I was able to work but I could still feel it. By the 18th I feel alright, still have some symptoms though!

Wow...that's the first time I've heard someone describe a flu period that I went through a few years back. I caught the Australian flu and have never ever been so ill in my life, it was horrendous. The small needles in the throat was the same for me. When I was supposed to be at home in bed, I was out and about towards the end of it walking through Madrid in the Winter and it was freezing..and it felt like I couldn't breath because of that. Had the flu shot in late Autumn ready for the Winter months every year since.

You should mention it’s a multi-BILLION dollar industry and not commonly used in most of the world outside of the States. Also herd immunity only exists in stable populations with no influx from outside the group. The efficacy is never anything like 50% either. Research Del Bigtree on his KZbin channel The Highwire.
@pcleo2449
@pcleo2449 4 жыл бұрын
So it's a multi-BILLION dollar industry so what? Almost everything you literally see around you (or don't see) on is a multi-BILLION dollar industry from porn, coffee, eye glasses, bottled water, religion, music, oxygen in the air, etc.. Even KZbin makes billions which represents fraction of Google's profits.. KZbin alone made $15 BILLION from ad revenue in 2019 which is the equivalent of 25% of worldwide vaccine sales in 2019 (about $60 billion). Yes, Big-Pharma make billions from vaccines, however the vaccine market is only like 2-3% of pharmaceutical industry so the sales from vaccines is pocket change to them. They make more profits by selling drugs and medicine that help treat almost any diseases you can think of; almost anything you buy from the pharmacy is supporting the same industry that make vaccines.

Do vaccinations prevent transmission of disease? If so, how does this happen? I understand herd immunity but if someone who has a virus and physically transmits it (touch, sneeze, cough) to someone who is vaccinated and then that vaccinated person transmits it (through touch) to someone who is unvaccinated or even vaccinated. Doesn't that mean the virus has still spread? Or do our bodies somehow (with the vax) prevent transmission? But how?
@stevenalderley9036
@stevenalderley9036 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% on the flu vaccine, but that's the case with the covid vaccine. You're less likely to spread it if you are vaccinated. Obviously you can still transmit it and someone else can pick it up from you and become very ill with it. But the chances are certainly less. Presumably a similar thing with the flu vaccine.

I need a term regarding vaccination developement: It was a phenomenon whereby a given vaccination weakens the hosts immune-system in an unexpected way. It has an abbreviation with 3 letters and its elimination is concidered as an important goal in the developement process. So what will happen to ur body after u get a flu? I understand what you were talking about but curious of what happened to ur immune system and etc.
@redrose2359
@redrose2359 4 жыл бұрын
When you get sick, the flu virus begins to attack your system. It actually uses the cells in your body by injecting its DNA into the cell. The viruses then being to multiple and replicate. It will make your cell explode and release new viruses. If you don't get the flu shot immune system will signal you're white blood cells. They will try to attack the virus, but it won't be very effective. It's like if I ask you to do a task you've never done, like build a computer from scratch. It's going to take you a long time to figure out how to put it together. But if you do it enough you train yourself to know the parts and you can build it faster. That's essentially what the flu shot does. It introduces an inactive form of the virus to your body so your immune system can learn to recognize and fight the virus without getting you sick! Some people say you get the flu from the shot, but thats your immune system fighting and learning form the deactivated virus. You mignt feel slightly sluggish for a few days but its nothing compared to the flu. That answer your question?

Impossible to get sick from a vaccine. There is nothing in them to make you sick. It is TINY bits of dead virus, simply to teach your body to recognise it when the real..active virus enters your body, if it does. Someone 'not getting sick when they were unvaccinated'...and someone 'getting sick when they were...'...it just doesn't work like that. There's also coincidence which is a big factor, a lot of people pick up the flu in the week before or the two weeks after the flu vaccine...the vaccine is then ineffective, and they are puzzled over why the vaccine didn't work, when in reality, the virus beat the vaccine to the punch. And your dad not being sick is again...coincidence. He hasn't picked up the flu. Almost a solid guarantee though that he'll suffer with it far more than your mom, if he is unvaccinated when it crops up.

The flu changes annually in different strains and different types. The vaccine changes with it. Evidently the flu doesn't change quickly enough for it to beat the vaccine to the punch in that sense. The flu you get this Winter won't be the same type of flu you had last Winter. They are ever changing strains. The vaccine is what adapts, not the virus..as it doesn't have time to, before it fades out and mutates into something new.

Blood sugar levels, also rise in the events of stress. why was your gut bleeding? do u have ulcer? or polyps? or Hemorrhoids? stress can increase the blood sugar levels but not for 4 months. @@jojomendoza1613 Hi, thanks for your comments. I'll go through your possibilities one by one. Firstly, I did get the timing wrong with the sudden blood sugar level rise, I'd not connected the two for several weeks after having the flu jab with the time of that sudden rise being exactly nine days after, not two according to my doctors date recorded. I was taking the test every morning around 8.30 am before eating anything although I always had two coffees with milk and no sugar an hour prior so nothing changed there. I only test about twice a week now. I have absolutely no stress in my life, besides chronic pain controlled by opiates for the last 25 years gradually reduced to half what it was over the last year. I've had instances of extremely low iron levels three times now over the past five years needing transfusions. Endoscopy and colonoscopy revealed nothing. Doctors now believe the occasional gut bleeds come from what they describe in layman's terms as a valve like structure in my small intestine sometimes opening up. No lifestyle changes whatsoever, same meds I've had for years. Imagine a graph with a horizontal line over months, then in one day a vertical line that jumps from circa 5.5 to circa 8.5 and from that day on the line is horizontal again for the many months following! If it was age or anything else it would be a gradual up and down increase over many months. I have no doubts the two are fully linked.

Natural immunity depending on your age and health isn't for everyone. It isn't advisable for example for an 80 year old to think... "Oh I'll skip the vaccine this year and go and lick some door handles and get some natural immunity'. Flu kills the weak, vulnerable and elderly...and the death rate isn't particularly low either. You can only do so much with vitamin D and leafy greens...the flu is quite a nasty virus and I know VERY fit people who have suffered quite badly with it in the past. Long term side effects of the flu jab are well documented, it's been a vaccine for many years.
