OSMW Kaos 60 demo flight (glow powered)

Introducing our latest release - the Kaos 60.
Back in 1970, the February issue of RCM magazine featured a construction article of a design that took the pattern world by storm. This revolutionary design was the brainchild of Joe Bridi and it went on to be one of the most successful pattern and sport models of all time.
This outstanding, contest-winning model was the Kaos and we've based our kit on that same original design, updating it's construction with laser-cut precision, yet keeping all of the outstanding flying characteristics that made the original a legend.
Power can come from glow or electric powerplants. We've designed the fuselage with a top built-in hatch so you have quick access to either your fuel tank or batteries.

Nearly 60 year old design and still the best aerobatic trainer. Put a turtle deck on it (like an Ultra Sport) for some knife edge goodness.

Had a 40 size back in the early 80's. Loved it!!! I had an HP 40 Gold Cup with a tuned pipe on it. Radio was a Cirrus (Hobby Shack). Did I mention that I loved it? Very happy I found your company.

Would an O.S. .55 be a good match for the KAOS or would a .61 be better? I would probably not be flying it in competition so I would not need to use a vintage engine. Thanks

It would fly it nicely, just not give you the vertical performance of the .61.

The .55 will probably have more power than most of the.60's from the period. It will be an excellent, reliable choice.
