Transcript
So the Aether is is a model
that's been around in Osprey's
range for some time now.
But in 2021, they've decided to update it.
So the main update on the fabric
is that it's now a blue sign, accredited
recycled fabric 420 D nylon,
which makes it super burly but
also has a sustainability aspect to it.
And then more importantly, on the back,
they've upgraded the Air Scape
back system. So that now has an injection
moulded panel on the back.
And then on top of that, the foam
just gives it a little bit more rigidity
and also offers a little bit more comfort
when you're carrying
those heavier loads for longer trips.
this 55L is really good for like multiday
hikes where you're carrying your
your overnight kit with you,
whether it's your your tent, your food,
and if it's a group trip as well,
it's a really good size for that.
starting from the top on the lid,
you've got an integrated
rain cover, which is nice
and handy, gives you the added protection
when the weather comes in.
And then also, you've got a nice big large
lid pocket as well, where I put in my
navigation stuff like my map or compass
if I'm not having to nav on the fly.
And also first aid kit.
So it's nice and easy
to get into or snacks as well.
So from the lid down to the front,
like a lightweight foam mat
or any additional kit
you need to attach to the outside.
with a nice large front stash pocket.
So this would be somewhere where I'd stick
in my ground sheet protector
or the outer of my tent
if it was a bit wet in the morning,
if there's condensation
or if it had been raining overnight.
whilst the rest of your stuff
stays nice and dry inside.
And then also what's
really handy about this pack?
It's a really liveable pack.
So if you want to get to your kit,
you've got front access, takes you
into the main compartment of the pack.
So, again, just from a liveability
standpoint and from a gear admin
standpoint, it's
really nice to get into it, do that up.
And then finally, you've got as normal
with a large rucksack of this size.
You've got the bottom
up access as well. So undo that.
So you've got front attachment points
again undo that.
And usually that's where you're sleeping
bag will be stored
and you've got an internal divider
as well, which can be removed
if you want to, to
to make it nice, one big compartment
to put your kit into. On the front,
you've got your walking
pole attachment loops here.
So again, if you're walking with walking
poles, you can pop in there.
And then on the sides, you've got nice,
large, generous water bottle pockets.
But again, also somewhere
where you can put in your
your tent poles if you wanted
to, to keep them outside and separate.
But what's nice is that you've also got
the secondary access for the bottle,
makes it really nice and easy
to get in and out of it, puts away
whilst you've got the pack on.
nice, generous hip pockets for snacks
or your your GPS units or your phone,
if you wanted that close to hand,
not in your pocket, but near to hand.
That's a nice place to pop it.
At Cotswold Outdoor.,
we offer a free rucksack
fitting service in our stores,
which you can book on our website
and head in there,
where our staff members will be able
to help you out with the sizing
and also picking the right product
for what you're looking to do.

Would love to see a review from someone actually using the pack. Been hiking for 4 days and I could probably give a more universal review. Thanks for the video though

Really love all the features of the backpack, but i fear the 2kg weigh is a little high for such a backpack, anyone got experience if the extra weigh is worth it

Is this the aether plus range ?or normal aether ? And can you say what's the difference between them?
@CotswoldOutdoor
@CotswoldOutdoor 2 жыл бұрын
The model featured and that we sell is the standard Aether. The Aether is available in 55 and 65 litres, where as the Aether Plus is available in 60, 70, 80 & 100 litres. The Aether Plus has a couple of additional features for longer multi-day trips and expeditions. The back systems are both AirScape with fit on the fly shoulder straps and hip-belt, but the Plus has a rubberized print on the lumbar to reduce any slip in that area. The Plus also features additional storage pockets on the front (behind the front mesh) as well as a removable lid that can be converted into a small daypack. The biggest difference is the fabric. The Plus uses all 210D High Tenacity Nylon whereas the standard Aether uses mainly 420D. The difference being that you have a lighter fabric with the 210D, but just as durable being high tenacity. Cheers, Will

Is The aether 55l in this video size S/M or L/XL? Thanks
@CotswoldOutdoor
@CotswoldOutdoor 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pham, it is the L/XL, but this refers to the back length, the overall volume of the pack will be very similar. To find out which one fits, I'd recommend getting a professional pack fit in store. Cheers!

Hello. For 1.82 cm, i don't know what size to choose, could you help me?
@mere_mort4l
@mere_mort4l Жыл бұрын
This is probably late, but to determine the size, as directed on the Osprey web site, your height is irrelevant, you need to measure your torso length instead from the top of your iliac crest to your C7 vertebrae, again instruction and a video is given on their web site on how to measure your torso
