Just felt the 65l for 240 bucks on sale! Now I’m watching videos till I get it and take it out on a trip this weekend.

Nice video. I've been carrying the same external frame backpack since the late 80's. I went on a trip for a few days in the Uintas and thought to myself, "This is it. Love this pack for sentimental reasons. Gotta get a new one." I'm packing tonight for a 4 day hike into Cedar Mesa and, suddenly, felt like I've never loaded a pack before. I'm excited to try out my new Osprey Aether. And you've given me some insight into loading an internal frame pack.

I was using the 48l kestrel for a while upgraded to the 70l version of this bag, the difference was amazing. Your right it’s really nice to carry, I couldn’t believe the difference and when loaded it weighs more but is more enjoyable to use. You can strap it right down if your not loading it up and it doesn’t look huge also.

I'm debating between a Kestrel 48 and an Osprey 65 right now. Went to an REI and tried on both. I thought I was crazy for thinking the Osprey felt more comfortable (granted it was empty), but it certainly did seem to be more comfy than the Kestrel
@daltonramsey95852 жыл бұрын
I used to have the kestrel 48 and the atmos 65. The kestrel was still a great bag and was a bit of a do it all type of bag. The atmos 65 carried heavier loads much more comfortably but I sometimes missed how agile I could be with the smaller kestrel bag. I now use a granite gear crown2 60.

I've got 2 bags and a rolling luggage which is a terrible combination. I'm flying back home to the States next week and I'm going to be buying one of these backpacks. Many will find Osprey Exos 58 a better alternative - essentially same size but only weights 1.1 kilo and super comfy. Best bag I've ever had. Also, the back ventilation system is way more advanced than in Aether. And it's cheaper, something around £110.
