Slava SS Thank you! I was seriously considering Solomon running packs, as well as Ultimate Direction running packs before I came across this Osprey pack. I just wanted easily accessible hip pockets. Solomon and Ultimate Direction make some excellent packs! Osprey will be slightly heavier but may be a little more durable but time will tell . . .

Youdude I still enjoy this pack as it is the main pack I use for day hikes. I tried to see if they made any changes to it since I bought it but it looks like the same features other than offering different colors. Hopefully you end up liking the pack 👍

Brilliant detailed review. Just wondering as this review is a year ago now. How has it held up and have you purchased another pack that you now use more often?

This is still my primary backpack when I go on day hikes and extended cycling rides. The only issues I have with it is the zippers were getting a little tough to close but that was remedied by applying a little grease on them. I’ve been looking at lighter packs and running vests but they don’t have all the accessible pockets as the Duro 15

What size is the vest?

The size of this vest is a small.

Thus looks like the older model that came in gray and weighed 1.7 lbs. The new model comes in black or red and weighs 1.1 lbs. I'm not sure what makes the new one so much lighter.

markstos You are correct in that it is an older model. I got this pack in 2018. I could not find what they changed to make the 2019 model lighter.

How much water can it hold?

It can hold 2.5 liters in the water bladder. Each shoulder pockets can hold a 250 ml soft flasks., probably even a 500 ml soft flask but you will not have any more space in the other should pockets.

I also fit a plastic water bottle in the “love handle” zippered side pockets
