Osprey Global 2.5-10X40 Tactical Scope Review

This is my review of the Osprey Global 2.5-10X40 Tactical Scope with Green Laser. I go over some of the specs and features and my overall impression of the scope.

These scopes are also sold under the name Pinty or CV life. And are in the $35 to $45 range.

Bought a Precision Tactical 2.5-10x40 scope today at the gun show, can't find it anywhere on the internet until I saw the Osprey Global, exact same scope, paid $150 for mine. Mounted it today and bore sighted, can't shoot in the city limits here but can't wait to shoot it this week at the range. I know it's the same scope, it's not uncommon for companies to manufacture a product and sell it to retailers with there logo.

I would have thought that the 1 thru 5 on the elevation is for after it is sited in at zero, Then you use that for bullet drop.

My wife purchased a osprey global scope CO 3-9x42 . It has 3 different color reticle Green . Red. Blue. Say you are using the green color reticle and sited in at 100 yards. Now she changed the color to green. Then tried shooting it at 100 yards and now it's not at zero It now shoots 10 1/2 inches high . I thought she may have actually bumped the scope so I sighted it in for her and it was shooting less than 1/2" high to the right. Then she changed it back to green and again it is off 10" to 12" inches high and to the right. Any thoughts. Thanks larry

That is very strange! I've never had that happen. Let me do some research on that and see what I can find. I'd also like others to weigh in with their thoughts also.

If you look through the scope as you turn on the illumination, you will see the offset from the crosshairs. On my scope, it shoots 6" low & 2" left when luminated. I think they have a fiber optic that illuminates & doesn't move with the crosshairs when sighting in After I figured this out, I kept that in mind when using the illumination

Osprey is by far the best optic company out there. Like literally. It puts vortex to shame. 2 of the best features of osprey are 1. Huge amount of eye relief. Their scopes don't have a 'sweet spot' meaning that you get a perfect view from the scope with your eye being anywhere from 4-9" away. 2. You can see your target perfectly even with something obstructing the front of the scope. For example, crunch up a paper ball and throw it in the front of your scope and then look through it. As long as any light can get through it will act as if you're seeing right through the paper. Had my first experience with osprey at a gun show and I will only purchase their optics from now on.

Some people can own an expensive scope and some just simply can't afford. Can't afford a fine scope that doesn't mean budget scope owners can't have as much fun. Doesn't matter what price of people's equipment are, enjoy what you can afford.

Just bought mine at a gun show in Kansas City! Not a bad little scope for my purpose! I don't shoot a lot and sighted mine in at 100 yards and at 200 I shot 4 rounds and could cover them with a Half Dollar coin! So if I had to I could hit about anything with in reason!!! My only problem with it is Focus! I wear glasses and it is always out of focus! If I take my glasses off everything is in focus! I adjusted the focal lens and it did not help, no matter everything is out of focus with my glasses on!!! I am going to contact the manufacturer to determine if there are alternative focal lenses available????? I doubt that there!!!

That sucks about the focus! I'll play with mine a little and see if I can figure something out too and I will let you know. If you have a solution, let me know because it will more than likely help someone else!

I called Osprey today, bottom line is there is no other focal lens available to fix this problem! Their suggestion is to simply shoot without my glasses. Which I already new!!!! I am going to talk to some of the manufacturers of lens' and see if they have a better answer!!!!

I contacted the company and after a confusing discussion the bottom line is I'm SOL....... Since I'm near sighted my glasses focus those objects far away. But because the glasses focus objects far away, objects close go blurry or in this case completely out of focus!!!!! Bottom line BUY CHEAP GET CHEAP PRODUCT!!! Also another problem is the Laser! You can adjust it to align with the scopes reticles, but it never stays locked!!!! Slightly bump the Laser and it could be pointing anywhere ! Lucky its still pointing down range !! MY opinion !!!!!!! Don't buy it, a waste of money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a chance to look at 1 today at a gun and knife show osprey had a booth but for the price it has great glass...I could have picked one up for about $35 less than at online price just didnt have it on hand....but I took his business card and online site info I may be picking one up

I met a guy at a gun show yesterday running the Osprey booth and they really do seem like nice optics for the price. There's no way in hell this is the same optic as a CVLIFE brand. I'm probably gonna buy one.

well my friend I can tell you that this scope it is not good at!!, And I am going to tell you about it !, I bought one and i can tell you, that you need to be very close to able to see thru, the aperture of the scope it is very small, and you could not able to see the cross hairs, you have to be very close to the scope to be able to see, and zero it too, what I am talking about is the aperture.
