How about air wentylation beetween your back and backpack, is it okay? It looks like I'm going to sweat a lot while walking uphill before the climb. I see also salewa guide 35 and i dont know which one choose

I did rather like this bag when you showed it to me during our trip. I would say that the one we found in that shop the ... "Gregory" bag? I think that was the name but I don't quite remember. Anyways the one in the shop was a bit thinker of a material. Do you have any recommendations for a pack that is a bit more heavy duty or durable material? I honestly miss the old waxed canvas bags from back in the day. You can still find waxed canvas bags but they're all made in China and mostly plastic or nylon blends instead of pure wool or cotton. Perhaps you could go into detail on what makes a great pack and a crafty person could make one out of Duck Cloth or upholstery Canvas. Jo-Ann's fabrics maybe having a sale on said duck cloth at this moment.

Yea, Gregory bags seem to have solid reviews on Backcountry, even more than some of the popular Osprey stuff. Mutant is more climbing specific, but they also have plenty of trekking stuff and a lot of accessories too. I am still thinking about Grand Teton, and if I do decide to do it, Il'' definitely use my 22L now, for even lighter setup. I'm sure homemade bag would be nice, but doesn't seem cost effective, at least for now lol

Is it suitable for backpacking? I got mine on FB marketplace for $20 before I realized it's meant for mountaineering haha. My only concern is the last of external mesh pockets for water bottles.

That's a great price! Yea, you can use it for backpacking as well. I attach the water bottle with a carabiner to one of the gear loops, but Osprey also offers additional attachments that you can mount to the straps.
