Crystal bow works very well too. Can get it for free and requires no ammo. Great guide though, made that fight cheesable. Thank you sir. For anyone wondering I used 70 charges on crystal bow over all 3 phases with 83 ranged, 84 hp, 75 def. And didn't even use half my tuna potatoes. If you're struggling it's always okay to train up a little more.

Slight addendum's. I say in the video that a Green D'hide shield and a mind shield are the same. I mean that in only magic defence! Mind shields do not offer a range bonus of any kind. I'm not sure what is causing the visual glitches with some of the stat png's, but it looks funny so I'll leave them. I absolutely believe you can do this in worse equipment, this is just the cheapest and most consistent setup I have found so far. Good luck!

I have attempted this fight with a magic short bow several times, and found its dps severely lacking personally. Obtaining one can also be rather annoying requiring 80 fletching, a drop from a spiritual archer 1/128, or a reward casket. Of course you can buy one on the GE if your not an iron man, I just found it less viable personally. I simply found a rune crossbow, 1/25 drop from crazy archeologist, and a yew long bow, 1/100 from a young impling or 70 fletching (yuk), to be the fastest and easiest to obtain weapons for getting the job done while also being very reliable for consistent clears.

@@JonnieLuminaire doing the fight with auto retaliate on you can get 2 attacks in per teleport which I haven't seen many guides show, when I did my fight it felt a lot smoother than rcb or crystal bow

Oh yeah, when I did this first time I used a crystal bow as well as wearing black d'hide. But that required roaving elves and choosing a specific reward from it, or doing song of the elves, which is a very requirement heavy quest so its the only reason why I dont recommend it myself. Oddly enough, I also had worse results from using the crystal bow and black d'hide. I just got hit way more not utilizing the shield slot. And a mind shield isn't hard to obtain, and is decent in 3rd phase for fairly minimal requirements.

I 2nd this. Went from failing with an rcb to having half my food left over with a msb+rune arrows 2 hitting between each pull on the 3rd phase. I'd add that a recoil is probably a better idea for a ring slot and some karambwans to combo eat would help a lot
