@RSstorm os players hate rs3 because they spent 10000+ hours and many years playing runescape then in 2011 were forced over to rs3 which is much different. They wouldn't have hated it if there was a choice, most likely.

@@Atlanick More likely it was because eoc wasn't good on release. It's nothing like how it is today. First impressions are pretty big after all, but I'm sure there's a lot of oldschool elitists that have never even played rs3. They ride the bandwagon to avoid becoming a social outcast since hating rs3 is 'in'.

If you don't really know what to do with abilities, then I'd advice to use revolution (automatically uses abilities from left to right). On the wiki you can find set-ups. I'd advice to use different bars for single target and multi target. If you want to make your own set-up, then you can do something like this (from left to right): +/- 4 ultimate & threshold abilities, 5-6 basic abilities. For the ultimate and threshold order look at the average ability damage/ adrenaline. For the basic abilities just go for raw damage (don't bother with combo damage as you don't do manual). Weave in stuns against tougher enemies. For aoe prioritise aoe abilities. Also put surge (mage ability) in every ability bar, but outside the auto-cast thing). So you can manually get out of sticky situations or just want to get somewhere faster.
