ive watched a few zulrah guides back when i got 1kc for the diary, all of them talked about the rotations and how to follow them. After a couple of deaths I barely got the kill and thought never again. The way you explained just switching sides when zulrah changes places made so much more sense than the rotation map which told where to stand and when. BIG thank you

Thanks for the help man, The tips about only healing venom when they were 8 really helped me. It was hard to find a guide that took into account that I can't get antivenoms without killing zulrah in the first place :,(

@@astroul4188 of course! Another alternative is using the lunar spell “cure me” which is even better, but requires more questing! You’d also need a trident or a staff that doesn’t require using the standard spell book and its spells.

Thanks for this, have watched a few guides but I like how this has broken it down into irons. The tips about antipoisons was useful as Anti-venoms are pretty rare without Zulrah KC. Got my first few down easy, cheers 👍

Guthix rest is good for anti venom, it heals and doesnt have an attack cooldown.

Ironmen don't have Antidotes but it is useful to mention the CURE ME spell apart of the LUNAR spell book is also helpful, but this also means you cannot use fire wave from the standard spell book.

Got my bowfa lately and have been wanting to try Zulrah. I am nervous simply because of all of this rotation talk? But this video makes me want to try soon. Also, I'm worried about it eating through all my crystal armor charges... will see how it goes I guess.

@@deviouschimp4663 not to be corny, but if you haven’t watched my bowfa only guide watch that too. But if the rotations are making it hard for you just do the reaction strategy. It makes doing zulrah really straightforward and all you have to worry about is swapping prayers and moving when zulrah goes to the middle. Because you are only using the bowfa you don’t have to worry about gear switches and it makes the fight super simple. The charges on the other hand are simple unavoidable, but you don’t use too many at zulrah! Best of luck on getting some drops 🫡

Awesome guide! What is the plugin that shows your active prayers above the inventory?

It is the default prayer plugin on runelite. If you want to have the prayers above your inventory you'll have to hold alt and drag the prayers above your inventory with them active to lock them in that spot for future usage.

@@wekky420ranarr Yes depending on your fire spell. You would have to use the DPS wiki calculator to factor in your gear and magic level with the spell you wanna use. If you have good enough magic gear you will out dps trident and bowfa only

How would you feel about full Ahrim + Amulet of the damned Blood Blitz method?

@@emperorehryn2370 it’s not a bad shout, but you wouldn’t be able to do damage on the mage phase unless you brought a range switch too. The blood blitz option is overall great for your first kill as well if you have lower stats, but long term it’s pretty expensive and the runes can be harder to get on a Ironman. For a main you’d probably spend more money on runes than you would get from a kill unless you get a drop. I actually used this method a couple years back before a lot of the new changes for my first kill lmao. Best of luck with your kills and thanks for bringing up that method 😁

@@emperorehryn2370 if that’s the case you don’t even need the full ahrims. Just use the pieces of ahrims you have with an ancient staff or the ahrims staff if you have it, the amulet of the damned cause it’s similar stats to a glory, and bring a mystic robe top. You can set your staff to auto cast blood blitz and then bring your full karils with that amulet for your range switch. Karils is actually very good just about anywhere, it’s just not a popular set to use because your Ava’s accumulator does not save bolt racks. With this setup you will easily be able to secure a kill depending on your stats. For example I was around 70 range and magic for my first zulrah kill and I used the the masters wand with blood blitz and an Rcb with diamond bolts, full black d’hide, and mystics. Full Karils with even just 1 ahrims piece will be perfect

Normal trident is worse than fire wave all the way until 90 magic. This is assuming you are using mage void with infinity boots, a mages book, a fury, and mage arena 2 cape. If you are using a tome of fire this level increases to 95. You can use the DPS calculator on the wiki to test your own gear and stats for each zulrah phase to see whats better for you! The dps for fire wave is better than trident until 93 magic. At 93+ magic trident is better. But if you have access to fire surge I would use that!

@@Arkatox Well what are your stats and gear? If you have stats and gear that are not good enough, that may contribute to the problem. Either way it’s definitely a big learning curve as zulrah does have a lot going on to process, you just need to keep trying and once you get that first kill you’ll get a better idea of what you need to do throughout the fight. @@Karlsonsk Mage 78 / Ranged 72 / Defense 78 / Hitpoints 81 / Prayer 77 Full Void because switching a helm and a weapon is way easier than switching a full set. Trident of the Swamp, Dragon Crossbow with Diamond Bolts (e). I genuinely don't think it was my stats or my gear, given I consistently die within a minute because I don't understand where to go or which thing I should be praying. It's so much happening all at once, and the Zulrah plugin is nowhere near as easy to understand as everyone makes it sound.

@@Arkatox Your gear is fine and stats aren’t the best but it should still get you 1 kill trips. If there is too much much goin on for you to follow, I’d recommend just following the rotation map and not attacking Zulrah at all. Just follow the map, switch prayers, and focus on eating. Don’t change your gear or anything. Just try to gauge how zulrah works, where you need to stand, and what to do for each phase. Then slowly introduce switching your gear, offensive prayers, and attacking Zulrah in the mix until you feel confident and comfortable enough to finish off a kill. Best of luck you got this!

You can skip hard clues completely by killing crazed archeologist for black d'hide body and fever spiders (42 slayer and starting Rum Deal) for red d'hide chaps. Red d'hide chaps is 90% as good as black d'hide chaps
