I’m a super fan. Watched 10 times. I can recite the dialogue. Weaving politics, gangs, police corruption, religion, family, war & romance all seamlessly into a kickass story with incredible costuming, cinematography, dialogue, sets, casting, is a coupe that hasn’t been done before. Knight is a historian. His obsession to be historically accurate and squeeze in so many real characters and incidents is taking away from the story. He should get it all out in a 5 part documentary of the period and put the Shelby’s back in Birmingham where they belong. Still, it’s better than anything ever.

Great videos. I also love Peaky Blinders not just for the story, but for the cinematic artistry, which becomes more incredible each series. Thanks for sharing the symbolism, as I hadn't noticed! What I do revel in is the lighting and the colours: beautiful contrasts, like when Grace met Tommy when she was married- in a beautiful teal blue dress in an ornate room with matching teal street lighting coming through the windows, contrasted against golden tasseled curtains, rich red timbers and glowing lamps- that scene was a work of art. Then there are the red Chinese lanterns that get contrasted withe eerie blue lighting and mist. The whole effect = incredible atmosphere! There are so many scenes with such immaculate design.

You missed one. Tommy and Arthur both have tattoos on their chest. Arthur's is a cross with beaming rays coming about above it. This is fitting because Arthur does believe in God and is a Christian. Tommy's is different. Tommy has said he is an atheist throughout the series so, he does not have a cross. However, the beaming rays are still there suggesting maybe a bit of hope for the poor guy. His hope does not rest with Jesus however. (I did my research before I got mine😂)
