Somethings that I don’t think Koreans realize or know is that the drug culture in America is very different then in Korea. Drugs although may not be condoned or used by everyone is still a very normalized thing. Especially when in poorer areas. Therefore, the conversation or use of drugs isn’t as taboo as it would be in Korea. Edit: A lot of people have taken offense to me specifically pointing out drug use in poorer areas. Didn’t mean to offend just meant to point out how the prevalence of drugs in poorer areas tend to be talked about more. Those who are rich obviously still use drugs it’s just that those who live in poorer areas are more susceptible to being involved with drugs therefore the idea of using it is not foreign. I hope that makes sense.
