Turned off the music before Snowfield started, turned on the music for a second, heard only two or three notes, turned off the music... The whole score played in my head by itself and my heart dropped to the floor.

You know, Clannad was fun, but seemed kinda average, so I never understood why anyone thought it was some masterpiece other than the soundtrack. That was until I found out that Clannad After Story existed. In my mind, that season pushed the series to a level it would've never been able to achieve without it. After Story was the thing that made the series such an experience for me. It also made me understand the idea behind the illusionary word, which made a lot of things click from Clannad. Clannad only shined once After Story came around. Things came together, and relationships, hardships, and things of the sort felt more and more surreal. This is a series that gets better the more you rewatch and understand.

Me listening to the nagisa ost reminds me of ushio and tomoya singing dango to sleep, and tomoya visualizing there family if nagisa was alive

Ushio is the one that did the most damage to my feels for sure, when Nagisa died I had lost all hope just like Tomoya, I'd have a hard time trying to raise a kid feeling that much pain as well but when Ushio showed up she definitely would break down any wall the way she is.
