OST Fate Unchained World, where Artoria is about to tell the truth to the protagonist.
Context: In the Fourth Holy Grail War, Artoria deemed herself responsible for the deaths of many, including those dear to the protagonist. Although she could resist threefold of the Command Spell, she chose not to, as she was weary of it all. Artoria lies in Camelot, and she doesn't want to be a liar in this second life.
This OST will be used in the upcoming episode at the end of Fate Unchained World, part 1.
The meaning of Artoria's [OST] 'I don't want to lie' in this fanfic Fate Unchained World, and why there is a glimpse of her laughter and grins. She lies to her subjects about who she really is, leading to the destruction of Camelot. Her lack of human emotion causes Sir Tristan to leave her court and incites Mordred to rebel. Artoria is responsible for many deaths when she destroys the Holy Grail in the Fourth Holy Grail War. She could have held back her attack even after Kiritsugu used all his Command Spells, but she didn't because she was tired and had given up, leading to many deaths, including people dear to the protagonist, Artoria's current husband. Since becoming the protagonist's wife, her ideal of never lying again to prevent the destruction of this small kingdom is the reason for the inevitable destruction of their family. If she tells the truth, the family relationship will crack. If she hides the truth and keeps lying, her mental state will be the one to crack. At that moment, she felt what Berserker Lancelot felt. This scene will take place after the battle against Chaldea.

Fate/Unchained World is a Fate fan visual novel story about the adventure of the group against many disturbances in the world. It is a fan's original idea inspired by many aspects of the anime. It is based on Nasuverse and it is only a fan story, not a canon story. Inspired by the Type-Moon franchise I tried to make a story from my version of the Fate series. The storytelling is more like a visual novel using standard text-to-speech voice and subtitles to make it easier for the audience to understand the literation in the story.

For me, the thing that nails this OST and the way it conveys Artoria's feelings - is the horns sounding in the background. The way this OST feels like a Medieval tragedy, the Horns sounding off at the fall of a King, all these emotions conveyed through just a few instruments. It really is tragic yet beautiful.

When I listened to this ost I immediately thought of Iskandar's speech on what a king should be. Artoria was not at fault, she was made and raised to be a perfect "king". To her, a king was someone who gave everything for his or her people. Because of this ideal which she was raised to represent, the people she ruled became distant and couldn't comprehend someone such as Artoria who ruled without any greed for herself. She was kind, too kind to the point where the people who wronged her couldn't bear to forgive themselves eventually driving them to madness and rebellion. She was the hope for prolonged prosperity of Britain but in the end, she was the source of their doom. Even after death she still persists to change her fallen country's fate only for her hope to be crushed not once but twice by the corrupted grail. I wonder how many timelines she could finally let go and find peace in that promised paradise of kings.

Yes, I agree. Artoria's genuine forgiveness of Lancelot ultimately drives him to madness. His actions were a mistake punishable by death, but her lack of human emotion made her unable to understand her own subjects. When she was young, she loved taking care of horses, but as a king, she used them as cataphracts on the frontlines against the Saxons. Pulling the selection sword changed her forever. In this fanfic, in an upcoming episode, Artoria's regret becomes unbearable after she learns of her greatest sins in the Fourth Holy Grail War. But in the end, she is able to let go of all her guilt and regret, allowing her to live a normal and happy life.

Artoria needs to cut herself some slack. That's probably the most consistent thought I have towards her character - both in her canon depictions via Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, to those fan content creators who know what makes her tick just as well as the official stories she's potrayed in. One bad act never washes out all the good she's done in her reign as King. She DID make a lot of mistakes that blew up in her face. From Lancelot murdering her knights after she allowed him and Guinivere to spend their time together, to alienating Mordred which lead to her rebellion and both their brutal deaths. Mistakes that will probably haunt her for as long as she exists. But at the end of the day she did the best she could.

Her character that I learn is having a hard time to let go. In this fanfic when Artoria learn the truth about the past event, she feels what berserker lancelot feels. She learn to let go after she confront her sins.

to me ArtoriaxShirou is way too forceful in terms of romantic relationships, it felt rushed and unnecessary it lacks of meaning in their relationship, the only impact is realta nua ending but even that still not giving the same vibe as what you created SakuraxShirou is much better impact for audience and RinXShirou is the most perfect match for all audience your fanfic did not degrade artoria as who she was from all fanfic I have read, ganaxartoria makes me cried twice when artoria run chases gana and that video where gana already passed away I saw your community post when artoria run to chase him again after their marriage you able to make the relationship of artoria with gana so deep which I love so much artoria deserve her happiness and only in this fanfic I can saw her sadness is mixed with the happiness

Mordred is 8 years old with no experience of love, so her understanding is akin to a child. love is mean to be shared, that is how a child see love, as an adult love means to posses. Mordred ask the protagonist about which one is selfish in one of the episode, she understand having the protagonist all for herself is not love but selfish. That is why she is the reason why Medusa is in the family and Artoria is in the family, she wanted to complete the protagonist by having Medusa and wants to share the happiness to Artoria by having her in the family. that is her perspective of love. Sure she also had time where she wants the protagonist all for herself but it based on jealousy. Mordred is egoist but not selfish.
