Totally of the mind that in this piece (even though I know that it's just Champion Iris's theme remixed) Victoria = Drums and Piano. Cain = Chimes. Fern = Guitar and Synths. Victoria comes in first with a notable underlay, while Cain comes in shortly after, fitting well with her and then Fern comes in and starts stealing the scene, like he does pretty much every time he's on screen, pretty much dominating the piece, like he does rival battles and encounters (There are more times you and he are in the same battle than with Cain and an equal amount to Victoria, although his are far more spread out and omnipresent) Besides, I could totally see these characters playing (or poorly attempting to play) those respective instruments.

Correct, but you got Cain and Victoria the wrong way around. Cain and Fern have an equal amount of battles together and Victoria has 1 less, though if we count battles with them as allies, they all have the same amount of battles with the main character.

So just want to put this out here. Ame had considered giving all 3 rivals their own theme but there's one issue. Music files take up a lot of space in rpgmaker, and they can only compress so much without overloading the game. If they do find a work around, I hope they give Fern Marnie's remix.

My opinions on the rivals: Victoria - Honestly, I like her. She looks out for others, and I like that about her. Cain - Um, okay... I've met some interesting people... and Cain is one of them. Fern - CAN I JUST KICK HIS ASS NOW. HE'S JUST SO FUCKING STUBBORN. Like I know he's supposed to be the rival to push you to train and beat him and all, but all his aspects make him super punchable.

Funnily enough, while imo Victoria and Cain get harder as the game progresses, Fern seems to go down in difficulty. The battle against Fern in episode 19 was especially easy. Makes him even more pathetic.

More like the theme of two ANNOYING roadblocks (Fern/Vic) and one crazy lad (Cain). Cain's fights are fun (Excepting the final one), and Fern... Imma kill his Decidueye slowly over a campfire.
