결국 그럴 수 없어서 미도에게 상처를 주기 싫어서 마지막에 최면으로 미도랑 사랑했던 기억만 남기고 다 지우고 해피엔딩

@@my.__.melody 하지만 미도가 오대수를 만지면서 그 최면은 풀립니다.. 중간에 테이프가 딸깍 끊기는게 그 암시입니다.. 결국 어떻게 해도 잊을 수 없고 그저 잊은 것처럼 산다는걸 의미합니다..

This movie was so underrated. It's one of the most well acted movies I have ever seen and it pisses me off that Hollywood can't make movies like Oldboy (2003)

@@Maun000 Fight Club is an excellent movie, but it doesn't catch the monumental storyline and depth of Oldboy by a far way imo.. My take is, that Fight Club is more about the schizophrenia of modern american shaped societies, while the story of Oldboy is set around cultural taboos that always have intrigued/repelled intellectuals since the greek philosophers and way before. (Incest / Oedipus etc.) Of course the motive of revenge is equivalent in both movies, but it happens in a much more individual/personal way in Oldboy. Tyler Durden wants to have his revenge on "society", Oh Dae-su wants revenge for his imprisonment, Woo-jin wants to have revenge because of his lost love (his sister) and everything that has been taken from him. (In a social/status kinda way). Everything in Oldboy is a lot more personal, intertwined with the characters, while Fight Club gives me alot of "modern society is just stupid" vibes. (Don't get me wrong, I actually think that modern american shaped societies are actually REALLY stupid and f*cked up and Fight Club is an awesome movie too, but this should be common knowledge by now.. ^^ )

Why would it piss you off that Hollywood can't make movies like OldBoy? Can't you just appreciate the damn movie without imagining how much more you would enjoy it if it starred Ethan Hawke and Julia Roberts?

It's a masterpiece. I don't care to say that, and ai understand there's people who will not appreciate as it is. Or will just see the violent part. But that movie has it everything, it takes you to a travel through the character you will live a tragic story.
