Hi I just wanna tell u how this anime made my childhood years *✨the best✨* I was at 6th grade that time and my brother would have this hard disk full of movies, anime, etc. I live in a very strict asian household so I wasn’t allowed to use that hard disk on my own in fear that I may damage it and when we do watch something on that hard disk, my parents would always switch it to an educational video instead of those other movie genres like action, drama, etc. Although back then I was really immature and didn’t care if I wasn’t allowed to use it. Now that I think about it, I felt pressured to be that “perfect kid” so I rarely found any entertainment and I was really an introvert back then too so it wasnt helping in me making friends. So what I would do is sneak in the middle of the night and use that hard disk to watch something good. I still remember being so happy to see a bunch of folders filled with certain videos that I was trying so hard not to scream of excitement because for the first time I actually had the freedom to choose a movie or video i like. I remember going through the anime folder and the “Tonari no kaibutsu kun(My little monster)” was my first pick. Back then I wanted to find something related about school cuz then I would relate more to it and that was the only anime that is school related so I picked it. The first episode already struck my young heart. I was in the age wherein I would get happy easily and bc I love that anime sm I memorized its japanese title name just to make sure I remember that it was my fave anime at that time. After watching 1 episode, I immediately went back to bed and smiled while sleeping. While typing this, I still remember how it felt. I was so happy I watched it that it felt like euphoria even. This may sound a bit too much for some but its really what I felt back then. Everytime I watch that anime, It felt like a healing time for me to remove the pressure for once and I felt like its not only because of the plot itself but also because of this background music. I felt like I am at peace everytime I rewatch this anime. It feels sooo nostalgic for me. Thats why I was so disappointed that up until now in 2020 theres still no season 2 of it so I just read the manga. But at the same time, I was so happy when I saw this pop up on my netflix account. I still remember seeing it for the first time on netflix and I was so happy I said”omfg no f*cking way...”. I was so happy its finally getting noticed and so I rewatched it again and while I was watching it, it srsly felt like the happiest moment in my life this 2020. *So for whoever made this amazing anime and background music. Thank you so soo much.❤️* Ps. Im sorry if my english isnt that good, its not my first language✌🏻

@@nicolebrian6109 hey there, just stumbled across your comment here. so... 12 right? what a young it is ;) but backthen I am the same age as you, 12 years watching this anime. maybe around 2014 and trust me, you will never forget the feeling and peaceful of hearing this music, no matter how many times you play this song, you will always feel the same as when you first heard it. because I did. This song accompanies me in almost all my life journey. sad, happy, my graduation day, even overthinking at night. there are much better anime, but the tonari will always I remembered for the rest of my life. like your words. also I recommend you another song of tonari, its called memento. you should listen it! hope you and whoever read this have a peaceful day :)

I have a very bad anger issues and it has been getting worse in the past few months because of some family arguments. I get pissed of easily but I always rewatch or listen to the soundtrack of my favorite animes (including, My little monster ofc) to cope my bad temper. Really takes me back, I watched this anime years ago in middle school for the first time and since I've been having a hard time in my last year of highschool lately, I went back to rewatch it. I am now 29 but when I was 16 years My female friend proposed me but I never thought her as my girlfriend so I rejected her. 5 days later I heard that my friend is dead and when I came to her house I learned that was kinda suicide she wrote a letter for her parents and also for me. I was very shocked . So I can't hold myself and I cried. I was never supposed to cry because I was too serious for my career and I never cried that much but on that day I cried very much. It was happened 13 years ago but I am now still shock and now I become a doctor and I decided I will never marry anyone. Because after that incident I really loved her as my girlfriend but I know it's too late.

This music used to bring me immediate relief but one day my dad got sick, from his symptoms i knew it was cancer (i was in med school back then), i lived horrific 9ms filled wiz anxiety and waiting for his death, i used to listen to this music on repeat. it was my only comfort my dad died and i got diagnosed wiz generalized anxiety disorder yet this music still helps me to be grounded and not to be swallowed by my anxiety

ya'll i know you're feeling the same way I do. This ost sings such a beautiful melody, which sends us this unexplainable feeling incomprehensible. Reading the comments, I hope the creator knows just how many fragments from an individuals past, dreams, has this melody carried and made them realise. It calms the mind, sets the person at ease and is such a pleasant feeling. Its so nostalgic, its unexplainable.
