Thumbs up Claire. It's always humbling watching someone as inspirational as you ✌️. My gut health has improved since I tried the Carnivore diet...and the dizziness I felt has gone since removing much of the fibre that I used to have eating seeds, grains and veg. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have POTS...I have been watching 'Low Carb Down Under' quite a bit, and I think they speak so much sense. That's odd about carbonated drinks...but I think your body has made it's mind up on that front ☺️. It may have a point...I have a heart murmur that gets really intrusive if I drink carbonated anything... You're incredibly smart, and I think you'll find solutions where they can be found 👌

Thanks. Not POTS just orthostatic tachycardia, which is similar but nothing to do with posture. I don’t drink anything much other than water and the odd hot chocolate on oat milk as cows milk that isn’t raw makes the heart race. I digest seeds and nuts well just no good with processed foods. Do a fairly high protein diet and fat but include quality carbs as well. My liver is a bit over taxed at the best of times so if I don’t eat fruit and veg it means i lose muscle mass very quickly as have not much fat stores. It’s a game of balancing for sure.

Thankyou for sharing. I have a different bone issue which again leads to lots of fractures and muscle fatigue from hypermobility. I would definitely agree that just the constant pain and effort of moving limbs, even if its not severe is a constant energy drain. Completing normal tasks like writing even, uses just that bit more effort than average people and its a continual low level drain of energy. Adjusting to chronic pain again uses more energy to keep it at bay and its eating our energy so we end up fatigued. Its really no wonder we are tired a lot. It took me a long time to realise it though and made me frustrated that everything is always harder to accomplish.

It is certainly a challenge.

I relate to so much of this video… I have a lot of the same things you do, and a lot of the same types of things… That just manifest in a different way. I seriously need to send you an email so that we can corresponded a little bit more of a personal level. I think… Our families used to be in contact when we were children. We would send letters back-and-forth and gifts at Christmas time and birthdays. Do you remember that? I am the one who lives in Alaska. If you aren’t that person… I apologize… But I am relatively certain that it’s you. If it is… I am so glad to have reconnected with you again! And I definitely will, send you an email… As soon as I can find a time lol.

And did you know that the ketogenic diet has been SUCCESSFULLY used in women with fertility issues??? And did you know that the ketogenic diet stabilizes blood sugar? As a woman I have had my periods improved drastically when on a keto diet. The keto diet PROMOTES hormone regulation and not the opposite. Your body will produce all the glucose it needs, so you have more uneven blood glucose when on carbs than when on keto. And you CAN eat fruits and vegetables on a keto diet as FIBER is not digested by our bodies it does not interfere with ketosis and there are several fruit that have a very low glycemic index that can be eaten in moderation without any issues. So please, do some more research than one single study. Our body will produce ALL glucose it needs from FAT, so we do not need to eat carbohydrates and that is why it is not considered an essential macro nutrient.
