Something I like to do with my "regular outfit" is store my shoes in the pockets of my pants/coveralls. Saves just a little space. Great episode!

EVA suit has a built in light. work lights are still useful since you can place them on the ground though. After playing for around 40 hours now I've suffered enough micro meteor strikes and general chaotic mishaps that I'm now in the habit of using the pressure suit when I'm ship bound (no penalties for maintaining my ship in transit and if I'm quick enough I'm safe in a breach) and the EVA suit for EVA. I know that's not what I see others doing on stream or on the Discord/Reddit but it makes sense to me. Astronauts don't take off in full spacesuits, just the equivalent of the in game pressure suit with maybe a port for O^2. Also it's good to have a spot you''ll remember on board that's got a stack of Holden Patches, trust me.

I might do something similar. I thought for sure I noticed some type of meteor fly in my ship. Nothing that caused a breach but something to look out for. Hopefully I can find a pressure suit on one of the next few salvage trips and repair it up for a spare. Good to know about the EVA light. I will probably use some work lights on the ground to keep things a bit lighter for the recordings.

@@MontePlaysGames If it hits anything you'll know. Had one blow out a wall and the conduit inside. venting air and total power loss. Holden patch saved me though. first time it happened I just died because I didn't have an EVA suit yet and couldn't figure out how to use the patch fast enough. You put in in your inventory and right click the wall > Patch BTW. Oh yeah and I figured out you can fill O2 bottles if you place them under the outlet of your pump. rock it down to 1/4 speed in game, set the pump to slow then turn it on. if the EVA cannister goes above 20k it will explode though, that's why I slow down time. only takes like a second to fill if you have any pressure in there at all. Heard this on the discord but broke like 3 bottles before I worked it out. still unsure if it's worth the trouble since a new tank is like $500 I think.

There is a menu to set priority of tasks under Roster in your pda, also there is an option to not allow repair can be very helpful when building.

As one who purchased the game early but never played. Might I ask why you didn't repair the hulk instead of looting it? Bigger ship ready made. Was it to far gone or just not an option?

I was strongly thinking of taking it and will most likely regret it. My thinking though is compared to jumping to an upgrade so quickly I still want to pay off and grow my own. I am curious if you would need to say transfer the transponder or something to take over another ship. I did notice and will show in a follow up video that you can buy the ships that you find. So I worry they just taking it might be considered stealing. Thanks for asking though.

@@MontePlaysGames Good thinking there, I wonder about that too now that you mention. Game looks great I'm currently stuck on Stationeers with little time to play. Why I haven't jumped into Ostranaughts with both feet.
