I love this "tinkering with chinese gizmos with next to no documetation" aspect of the game, really reminds of Shenzhen I/O. Where you're given some functional device, but instead of abstracting out its controls, figuring them out is a challenge in itself.

@@pbsixgun6 Mah dry bread was the only channel that helped me with Neo Scavenger, great game. This game needs a really good tutorial though it has changed a lot. Agreed, RNG sucks big ones!!

Yes, it is more complex than Neo Scavenger...but it is easier and in my opinion more playable. I don't think it will go into full release anytime soon. There just is too much potential. But I might also be wrong and the next step might be just scaling up the universe and implementing inter-planetary travel.

​@@BauthorFowler If you're in a pressure suit, you basically just run back to the ship. So try and find the most expensive things quickly, save up about 15-20k in the beginning (going to ship, taking helmet off, putting it back on, and running back into the derelict to salvage a little) and just buy and EVA suit and you won't need to worry about it.

It is a bit unfair with the docking fees when you have no coin. The best thing to do is, before dockign again with KLEG is to keep hitting up the derelicts until you find a still-valid salvage permit and then take a cockpit and/or fusion reactor to KLEG. As you stand now, your only chance is to keep chatting up people until you befriend one enugh to get recommended to the fence.

Bins need empty wall space and (only on installation) need the floor space in front of it clear. Once installed, you can use the floor space in front of it again. Each square gives you two squares of cargo space. Racks use up floor space, but they can be installed freestanding or even in the floor space that looks like it is already used by Bins. One square of Rack grants three squares of cargo space. Floor Bins are installed into the floor, requiring the floor panel to be removed for it, which evacuated atmosphere. It also leaves a hole in the hull when you uninstall a Floor Bin. A single square Floor Bin grants four squares of cargo space.

It would have been lucrative to repair and keep the Pleasure Yacht, if the hull breach at the docking clamp is the only structural damage. Much more cargo space, just move everything from your pod into the yacht. Although, they changed the legal system concerning claiming wreckages. I don't know if it still is viable.

You can take control of crew while yourself goes off on auto. Basically, all your crew is auto, except for the one you are currently controlling.

Looks to have more promise and potential to me, overall. But the Neo Scavenger wasn't a big hit for me - Project Zomboid is far superior, imo. But yeah, I think I'll give this game a while to cook yet.

Games like Kenshi and Kerbal Space Program were in Early Access for years too - in fact, they were two of the very first games of the Steam Early Access program. Also, games like 7 Days To Die and Project Zomboid are STILL in EA, years later. All these games still have known bug issues (to varying degress) YET they are easily some of the most successful and well loved games that have come through Steam's EA program, so.......

neo scavenger was in early access development for how long... 6 years? If you want to shit on ostranauts start at neo scavenger. its still buggy despite beeing finished (and amazing) Or maybe shit on a regular released game that is buggy beyond comprehension, even after X years of patches (looking at you bethesda) Truth said, way to many games in early access have a less playable product than ostra nauts and ditched the project after a pay out. Early access is a big risk for consumers. However a lot more did incredible fine. Even with stupid amounts of early access. Minecraft is technically still early access as well. And oh boy do they prioritize political correctness. You finish games in 2-3 days. Thats cool, if this is your fulfilling playstyle. Some games are meant to last for X time. Others are open ended. Some gamers do enjoy this. Some gamers will play the same game over and over again. Some will kill an forever game. Whatever suits them is fine. Do not apply your own playstyle to humanity. Most people can be entertained for decades with what we already have. Thats not counting in new releases. We can entertain us technically for eternity. (and btw I consume games fast as well. I just know Im not the norm) Also little bonus, "i am sure the people who bought games so many years ago are enjoying these games if they are alive" I do. I wont see all of them finished. Not because they wont get finished. Because I wont be lasting another decade. And I can tell you first hand: Thats fine. You get a huge shift in priority when you realize your limited existence.
