I used to do this (trying to switch because of my hand) and it’s incredibly easy to do jumps with it since your hand is able to react to itself and you don’t have to rely on sight when you click a circle.

@@felicia2644 it seems to be personal preference, we have some very good mouse players who developed really fast, Andros is the current beast. Fcsky is one, Ravlica is another. FlyingTuna did really well with mouse but couldn't deal with mousedrift ^^ The biggest difference in my estimation is that mice weigh more and therefore might drain your stamina faster and depending on sensitivity you might have to use your arm to aim. But then again, there are some really light mice out there these days. I'm doing fine with an LG pro wireless. Edit: also the guy you responded to said he switched from tablet to mouse and did better lol.

I play mouse only as well. Started last year. But I'm not much dedicated to play for rank. I just hop in find some songs i like (well I rarely find a map for it cuz they are primarily English). Then once in a while if i like some random anime opening i download that and play it or join a random online lobby to get some better maps to play. 60% of the songs i have downloaded are ones which I don't even know cuz they are Japanese. As a K & M player this perfectly Mirrors my increase over the course of 6 months however for me it was like a 1 star increase per moth where I was actually playing (last couple months I didn’t play much), curentley I’m at late 3str to early 4str. EDIT: also if anyone is curious about how much I play, I try to play for 1-2 hrs a day now relative to the inconsistent play amounts I’d pull for like the first 3 months, so currently my account has 18 hrs of gameplay.

Anyone else notice he never alternates his keys? He used 1 key for even the higher level stars. Wouldn’t that eventually handicap you when streaming quickly is required? New player by the way, started 4 days ago and picked it up quick. Able to pass a few 4 star maps. My friends say that’s pretty good for such a small amount of time but I have played drums for years so I think that helps a lot… plus a lot of clone hero (guitar hero) on expert.

I started this game in 1-2 weeks ago. i play middle 3* in couple of days right after starting but really hard to get A. then I seek YT for guides and one of it says, play low lvl map first then gradually increase the difficulty. and it really works. what I see is when u play low lvl map, it teaches u to click with beats and hence improve it accuracy on that song

Same!!! I'm a newbie to the game and I've been playing for 1 week and can already pass 3 star maps but I struggle. And also play some middle and high 2 star maps so that I get my accuracy right. Weirdly enough is that today I just got a double SS on an easy map with DT mod on (double time) and also an S and A's on high 2 star map but I'm only getting B's and C's in 3 star maps. So I play both maps that I find easy and maps that I find hard.

My progression of skill is a bit different from yours bc I don’t generally have a lot of time to really GRIND but I still can get in at least two hours a day, bc I need to make sure I’m still working out, keeping up in school and making sure I still have a job haha. At the moment I can complete almost any 4 star and most 5 stars, but still working on being able to complete almost any 5 star, I’ve been playing for abt 5 months, took abt a one month break, and now I’m back on the grind, but still in school and work, and gotta work out, but I’m abt to graduate in four months so after that I should have a bit more time on my hands to grow more in the game
