I think because on paper, if they execute they are the best team. Kirk did say, if Howard goes down early like Colt McCoy did years ago, then it’s a different story.. It took numerous players and coach to crap the bed to lose to Michigan. Can we lose the to ND sure, but it would be another massive upset and take multiple players to have bad games.

Exactly! I don`t live in Ohio. I had NO IDEA how bad it was. It`s completely normal to be upset after a loss to TCUN. And it`s normal to have concerns about the coaching. And it`s normal to express those concerns -- in a **respectful** way. Coach Day signed up for that. But the family...heck, even the MAFIA doesn`t bother a person`s family! We should be better than the mafia. Sorry about my rant. But I`m very upset by all this.

After we beat ND to win the Natty, OSU will have played 8 games against teams that FINISH in the top 10 and go 7-1 with the lone loss being by 1 point on the road against the #1 team...we would have beaten 6 of the top 7 other teams...Best NATTY, most legit NATTY EVER!!!! O-H!!!

The Fans have NEVER TURNED THEIR BACKS ON THE TEAM THE PLAYERS!!!! The Fans, the Media Local and National, Don't Like 4 straight Losses to Michigan!!!! They Hated the Inexcusable Loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl Last Season. Among other Coaching issues with Ryan Day's Coaching. Other Bad Decisions by Ryan Day. Face it the Team, the Players were Very Upset with Ryan Day After the Michigan Game. Ryan Day didn't even Understand and was Very Defensive about it. Kirk you said it Took him some time after that meeting to come to the Realization that they (The Players) were Right. Ryan Day's Ego and Defensive Reaction to Legitimate Issues with him is a Big Problem. I Feel that is Why he Lost the Missouri Game, Last Seasons Cotton Bowl. The Fact that Ryan Day doesn't have the ability to self reflect and Understand Criticism when it is given to him is a Huge Problem. Day Not being able to see for himself that he is the Problem is the #1 issue with him being a Head Coach. Repeatedly as Ohio State Head Coach Other People have had to Save Ryan Day from himself. Personally I Believe that Someone like Jim Knowles talked to Ryan Day after the Players Only meeting and said something like this: "Listen to them... You have Lost the team. If you don't take to heart what they are saying and do a lot of what they are asking for this season is over." I don't think Ryan Day changed just because of what the players said because he was offended by what they had to say when they said it. He did Not Earn the Job. Ohio State Never Before had hired as their Head Coach a Coach without Head Coaching experience. The Main Reasons Why Ohio State is Successful this Season is because of Chip Kelly and Coach Jim Knowles. Ryan Day is known for being a Great QB's Coach Everything else he has been Subpar at. The Evolution of Ohio State Since Ryan Day has been head Coach: The Defense is just getting worse every year. So Incomes Jim Knowles. Ryan Day Needs to Give up Offensive Play calling. He is Ok, but Predictable with the Passing Offense. He doesn't know how to integrate the Running Backs into the Offense. Ryan Day is the Reason the Offensive Line has been Subpar. Bring in Chip Kelly and the Offense is Considerably Better Now.

Yeah we’re used to a much more compact post-season. “Win and you’re in” was the 1st round mantra before.. it’s been the most exciting month of football I can remember. Don’t let that diminish how cool it is to be in the title of the first 12Team tho.. c’mon mann this is legendary. Once the game starts and you see those colors lined up against each other.. we’ll all be hyped up as usual

I’d argue that it hasn’t been too long. The only reason it’s anti climactic is because we beat the two teams that had the best shot at beating us pretty handily. The bottom half of the bracket comparatively was a fucken cake walk for all involved.
