osu lazer on an ipad pro 2017, you can download the latest osu!lazer on Apple's testflight beta testing app. I'll run through the latest things on lazer PC version and go through the iOS version for a bit.

Note for osu! Lazer in general: Skins like WWW's which have the hit circles as the numbers do not work. It will not immediately disappear, because the numbers now expand with the hit circle.

in case you were wondering about the 12-14px upwards that was a bug on osu stable, pishifat documented it in a video where the top bar (in non-fullscreen, windows have a top bar that shows the title and is white) takes about 12-14 px, and in fullscreen it doesn't exist but osu still thinks it does, so when displaying things it does it 12-14px down from usual. however, this was only fixed in lazer so there you go, it's 12-14 px up now

I'm glad we can play Osu at all on iOS. When I got my ipad pro I was trying things like remote connect and game streaming to try an play Osu on it...didn't work very well of course. And then there's that Osu Stream app, but it's only got a set amount of songs and seems like you can't customize it.

I think the osu!direct will be removed when it is released, as the beatmaps are encoded differently, so when you download a beatmap without direct it will only import to osu! classic (hence why you have to import beatmaps as well to get them from classic to lazer)

There is skin support for the ios lazer just download the skin you want and the click the share button and copy to osu

_They are not encrypted,_ you can pull out all of the data. It just isn't laid out the same as in the beatmap zip file and no file extensions. Basically it means two copies of the same file don't take up more space, and it knows all the files are intact. There is a separate program that exports them if you don't want to copy them again.

I managed to get my Skin on my Osu!Lazer on my Ipad by exporting it(from osu stable) then taking the .osk file to dropbox and opening it using Osu on my ipad and it imported just fine it works just as good as Lazer PC. When i tried to do the same thing on my android tablet i couldn't import the skin, so skin importing works on iOS and not Android for some reason.

You're checking data in AppData/Roaming that's why the files are encrypted. You want to open AppData/Local and there you have all the songs and skins unencrypted

Skin support DOES actually work in IOS Lazer! All you have to do is download a skin in Chrome and click it. And click “Copy To Osu”

I think what messes with my head the most is that you can also combine the "fun" mods together. Transform or Wiggle can be paired with Spin In or Grow or Deflate or Traceable. The Wind Up/Down mod can be added onto a mod pair for a tripple whammy (e.g. Transform, Spin In and Wind Up). It's interesting to see how Hidden interacts with all this (it doesn't pair with Spin In or Traceable though).

Lazer has less latency, and you are trained with Stable latency. You can correct for latency anyway though, even easier than Stable (there is a button that averages the latency over a play)
