It felt like for a few years there wasn't much progress in terms of making Lazer usable (probably because the fundamental stuff was being still worked on), but lately there's been so many quality of life changes that makes Lazer a viable alternative now instead of just the "work in progress sequel". I still have a few performance issues but it's noticeably better than what I had just last year

After more than a year playing osu! lazer on my MacBook Air with the M1 chip and on my desktop PC, it has been changed a lot from UI to the performance. And during those whole 1 year of osu! lazer, I'm not caring about the pp anymore, I'm here to just enjoy the game in the meantime until the complete public release of the game.

@@trustytrojan because pp is the reason most of these people play osu!, for the competitive aspect. There's no point in playing a rythm game without competition because I can just listen to music and play something else. I'm not playing this game mainly for pp but sometimes I have my pp farm session when I think I improved after playing some tech or other unranked map and I grind map that give me pp because sometimes it's fun and to show that I'm improving, and you can't do that in lazer.

@@trustytrojan I don't think it's as black as white as that. Different strokes for different folks. I don't even know why it's so often said people should just "enjoy the game" instead of farming pp, as if these things are mutually exclusive. For some people, farming is the most enjoyable aspect of the game (otherwise, why would they do it?), for some it's not. It's just people having different preferences, has nothing to do with people wasting their time.

I wish there was feedback for the timing of the hit ON or at least close to the hit's position, like in other rythm games, because the colored bar on the left is really useless. For example, at 0:47 the blue "great" text could be a different color depending on if the hit is late or early (f.e. red for late, blue for early and green for perfect could work), or just add a glow to the text instead of changing it.

We're getting closer to a "no lag" performance especially for android phones❤🎉 Thanks for all the efforts! Keep the good work peppy!❤ There's still a problem about touch inputs though. Some touch inputs doesn't register or sometimes be late to response. But it was reduced as of this update. Still waiting for it to completely get fixed

I've been trying out Lazer on my Ipad pro by sideloading it, and I'm really thankful for those performance improvements! I'd love to play more on my ipad but the performance is just unbearable on more intense maps. As someone who just plays for fun and not necessarily to get the best scores, I really prefer the look and feel of Lazer, so I hope wider adoption will come sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work!

Cool changes would be: Adding a threshold slider for tablet pen's tip like on open tablet driver Osu stable collection layout, pls i like it so much more compared to lazer, i swear when you have multiple collections it's better having them on your entire screen (also putting collections inside others collections like folders)

Did a solid Taiko session on lazer and argon pro, and the hitsounds are honestly awesome, the YOOO is only slightly annoying in a few maps. Mostly got issues reading more changing rhythms like chains of mixed 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/6, and the drum is fucking bright when I click lmao definitely hurts the eyes at night. Acc drops could be more noticable too

So it basically means maimai score scaling. The first few misses won't count much, but if you failed subsequently or multiple times you are going down to A rank quickly (This is equivalent to C and B in osu since maimai's max rank is SSS+ for FC which is SS in osu and S for a pretty good score which is A in osu). Maimai does inflate the ranks to simply to make you feel good about your performance, and I think osu ranks are far better indicators.

Lazer's notelock works differently. In my opinion it's a positive change, but if you want to test to see if that's the reason for your struggles on lazer, try maps with the classic mod to have notelock like stable.

@@NotAghostSpeedruns tried the clasic mod and still the same, also had this problem about half a year ago before reinstalling windows so I doubt reinstalling osu would help. I am using a HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard btw.

I just installed lazer, never tried, and I don't understand why I can't group map, like I loved the grouping by diffuclty, I want to play a range of difficulty I remember the map by the music, not the name, browsing through the map by Title is the most painfull experience, I like just earing one note and going to the next one, because this is how i remember the maps Please add grouping back in lazer, i'm loosing my mind because I would love to play on lazer but I simply cannot because of the maps display

I really want to play Lazer, but it stopped me to do so, I 'm osu mania player and the lazer skin argon really not good for osu mania. I cannot see the notes. In osu I'm using Jakads skin but when I imported in Lazer the color is broken.

I'm going to speak in my opinion, I hope you understand, I have a review about this game. the why the osulazer there is no optimization on the cell phone, sometimes I get angry because of this so much osulazer update there was an update and there will be more updates and there is no optimization update for the game to be light and smooth to be able to play well, especially 4K mania which is poorly optimized as hell and there's no way to play properly because of that, that's just this criticism I have of this game I hope the creators optimize a lot to be able to play well in 4K mania on osulazer I just want an answer on this. Thank you for your attention.
