The brand new BMW X3 diesel SUV is aimed at families who want a large car that’s both fun and practical. It’s bigger than the coupe-like X1 but smaller than the X5, and therefore acts as a decent compromise between the two.
As ever with a BMW, the X3 takes to tarmac like a bird takes to the air. It handles most situations with confidence, even if its sporty pretensions never quite manifest in the way you’d want. And with no petrols in the range, engine choice is between a handful of powerful but economical diesels.

I've been driving a X3 30d M Sport for the last 5 weeks and have to that it's the best BMW I've ever had & I've had 5 of the in the last 20 years. All the hype and statistics are accurate. The fuel economy is slowly building up. I currently average 39.8 mpg. A combination of Town & motorway driving. Recommendation. Buy one if you can.

Excellent video with clear description of this new X3. I’m convinced it’s among the best compared to rivals of its class. I did a test drive onto model X3 30i petrol - powerful & I’ve put a booking for purchase. Thanks to your video. Another thing that attracts me in this video is the presenter’s jacket. Can I know what brand, made & perhaps where can I get one?

Mine is on order, should arrive by july (belgium). Went for the 20i which according to you "nobody wants" but since there is a very non-diesel movement going on in Belgium with extra taxes for diesel drivers and even banning certain diesels from large towns, a petrol is the only sensible choice for people like us who do very little km/year.
