The Tiguan is a wonderful car. Love my 2021 1.5l 150 CV petrol DSG, although for my taste, slightly underpowered. But what a smooth and comfortable car to drive with tons of space even in my regular 5 seater. Not going to change it ever!

Anybody that knocks the Tiguan has obviously never driven one, I have a 2009 model and it's a great workhorse, living in France I drive on Chemins (country tracks) regularly and tow a trailer regularly, it never lets me down.

Just ordered my second Tiguan. Tried a lot of other cars pre this purchase such as the VolvoXC40, Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tuscon and the Toyota Rav4. No other car comes close (Except maybe the Volvo which is a few centimeters too short)

I've recently bought 2020 Tiguan R-line. I knew new face lift will arrives soon in Canada, instead I've chosen this one. Two main reasons: I prefer 2020 model front looks (more sharp looks), and due to the new model, I've got good deal. If I could able to buy new R performance in Canada, I would wait till this summer 😭 Overall, I am very satisfied with my car^^. Previous my 2019 RAV4 was awful...

Impressive presentation! The auto hold function is more than a hill hold device however and holds the brakes on in all situations once the car is brought to a halt. Essentially means you can take your foot of the gas pedal when pulled up at a red light in Drive.

£745 as at October 2021. Unfortunately its not great value for money on an Elegance spec Tiguan as the rear camera is standard but you don’t get any credit for that.

The only disappointing thing is the cabin. It is very bland (drab) in comparison to an Audi Q5 or indeed the Q3.

Its not in their category and that's when you realize it. On the other hand, there are similar models that do a much better job. The Tiguan's interior is pretty spartan.

@@nickp360 You don't need to jump to an Audi for that. There are far better interiors from Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fa, or Kia Sorento. Pay particular attention to the seats, as the Sorento offer second row captain's chairs, and the Santa Fe offers power front left and right with thigh support. Rare in this class. I"m not implying that their interiors are perfect, but they're way ahead of what you get form any Tiguan.

@@freedom2036 you only get the variable load floor with the space saver wheel. The full size spare steel wheel is too deep and only allows the load floor to be at the upper position.

Super review. However, I am of opinion this is an quite expensive car with outdated both exterior and interior. Much better choice and probably best buy in this segment is its brother Skoda Kodiaq.

Kodiaq has nowhere near the level of equipment as the Tiguan - Spec them up the same and the Kodiaq ends up a tiny bit more costly, with a far less attractive interior and exterior.

Fake front Air vents and fake exhaust. Poor to see on a premium model. Also an uninspiring grey interior. Apart from its boot space there is very little this car has, that other cheaper rivals do a little better. The Qashqai has Much better semi autonomous driving features and has a lot classier interior. It also has 12.3 inch driver display and for the model year two, has a 12.3 inch infotainment screen, not to mention the 10.7 inch HUD on the two upper spec models. all in all the Nissan Qashqai has more Standard safety equipment across the range including Emergency braking even on the base model. Not optional extras you have to pay for. I am surprised you would need to knock the Qashqai.

These are decent to drive but its dull as dishwater. VW is just bland. No character or personality to any of their cars. Not even the Golf R. To be honest if I was in the market for buying another good car to last me a long time, id be struggling to see anything other than a Mitsubishi Shogun Sport. It does everything. These fashion SUVs are a joke of a segment.
