Great review. My i5 M Sport Pro is due to be delivered in October, I can’t wait!

Is the adaptive suspension professional a worthwhile upgrade?

Awesome review. Wish I could afford to go electric, but they're so expensive compared to the combustion engined equivalent. It's the way things are going though, so it's only a matter of time before everyone joins in. Hope they can do something about the cost of replacement batteries, too. 😮

Thanks for watching 👍 You're right, the shift to electric vehicles is inevitable. It's definitely a challenge balancing initial costs with long-term savings. Have you considered leasing as an alternative?

@@rivervalegroup leasing isn't for me. When I've paid off my car loan for 3 years I like to know that lump of metal in the drive belongs to me 100%. I've known a few friends who've lost out and wouldn't lease again. Mind you, never say never...

Buy a good used one. It drops value like crazy. Still possible

Great review of a great car fella but it's still an EV & I'm not changing front petrol unless I'm forced too!!😬🙄

Thanks for your comment, Dave! Glad you enjoyed the review. We totally understand the loyalty to petrol cars - they’ve been reliable companions for a long time. What would it take for you to consider making the switch to an EV?
@davelawrence5944 ай бұрын
@OsvUkVehicleSupply Something like the iconic 5N is the nearest I would get to buying an EV but the range thing is a big deal & the infrastructure is years away from being any good from my point of view!!😬 Cheers for getting back me tho!!👌🏻👍🏻

There is a lot wrong with the new BMW i5, it's length is now 7 series long probably due to the number of batteries it needs in the floor pan. The new idrive 8 means all those useful buttons are now hidden in menus which can be a distraction when driving, the quality inside the car looks a little cheap especially with that very high price tag.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Simon! What do you think would improve the BMW i5 to make it more appealing to you?

@@rivervalegroup The cost of the vehicle is extremely expensive for a 5 Series that used to be around £40k. The majority of owners I would expect to have their own business and claim the full tax benefits from their accounts. Minimalist approach to remove as many buttons as possible has meant too many presses on the idrive screen to do anything and complicated displays for example the heating/seat controls etc. I've got a BMW G12 7 Series and the buttons are all well laid out for climate, active cruise control etc. putting everything behind a screen means BMW can start charging to use functions already built into the car.
