All I can say is, I own the top end model of the model before this one, I rest drove a £50k Mercedes GLC which was ok, but the Xceed with auto gear box was a lot smoother and you could not feel the gear changes, the GLC you could, The Kia Xceed is a great car, better than my old Mercedes AClass I had before 👍🏻

I took a very close look at all the alternatives and decided on a 2021 Xceed PHEV. It's packed full of tech the electric plug is on the nearside front wing so not sure what you are talking about when you talk about the filler cap. Ok the PHEV has a smaller boot but makes up for that with it's money saving economy. I use very little petrol in the summer months which does increase in the winter months when using the heated seats and steering wheel etc. I'm achieving 90+ MPG due to the 32 miles range of the Electric motor.. Comfort is excellent and almost on a par with my old Jag but with a huge amount of tech. My days of thrashing a car around country lanes are over. I sold my MX5, so why would I want a crappy run of the mill Ford Focus??? I'm more than happy with my 7 year warranty.

thank you for this review, this is exactly the model I'm pretty much convinced to buy. A nice general use family car for in reality not a lot of money. I dont expect Merc or VW quality, not at Merc or VW prices but for the price it seems very nice, not perfect but what 21k car is. Went to the dealer with kids and grandparents, we all fit in but mostly either just me or me and the kids. I do about 8k a year so it seems to me for general everyday use. Great review , very honest

Such an excellent and detailed review, great job!! I agree with basically all your points, except maybe the rear space... IMO it's not too bad at all, I'm 5'11 and had no trouble fitting behind my normal driving position, felt comfortable enough. It's worth noting that I'm used to driving the older Peugeot 208, so I've possibly just gotten used to a small car with even less space, so this is definitely an upgrade. Anyway, I liked everything about the XCeed so much that I bought it last week! Still waiting for the paperwork to complete so that I can come pick it up, hopefully soon. Until then I'm soaking up useful bits of info from various reviews such as yours, keep up the good work!

The thing with the Ceed range is that it was designed, manufactured and suspension tuned for British roads, pitch it against every other manufacturers base car in this segment and it will win in every area

Hi, suggestion for you - instead of showing the presenter 99% of the time on screen, please show the car instead. For example, when talking about the interior, why not show the dashboard / cockpit area, instead of showing the presenter talking ? Most viewers typed "Kia XCeed review" in the search bar because they wanted to see the XCeed, not the presenter. Thanks !

I have that car with that engine, but with the 18 inch wheels with 235/r18 tyres, The 16's from The video are The adequate ones for that car, specially going uphill,however those 18 inch look killer!

That looks a high loading lip . Getting a dog in , or even a heavy item, might challenge some . That’s why estates make so much more sense . Let’s see you lift a 22kg suitcase in as part of the test in future lol

It's not too bad of a lip thanks to the height adjustable floor, but most rivals offer a lower lip making it easier to load those heavier items. Thanks for watching 👍

Have had one of these with a petrol engine as a courtesy car for just over a week now. Had been travelling along a windy road and all was fine but then, suddenly, it tried to steer the car in a straight line rather than allow me to go round a bend in the road. The original lane position seemed good so have no idea why it would do this, other than it is faulty. Was just lucky that there was no oncoming vehicle at the time. I agree about the sluggishness, especially when going up hills at any speed, lorries were doing better. When we approached a dual carriageway on a gentle incline, it tried to force us into the outside lane. Not good when there's a faster car coming up from behind and this car won't keep its speed up. I looked online to see what it had to say about these things (hence why I ended up here at this channel) and see that other people are finding the assisted steering in cars from various manufacturers problematic too. Some manufacturers don't allow it to be switched off so you are stuck with it. Seems dangerous to me and is uncomfortable not knowing what its next random trick will be. Looks nice and shiny on the outside but can't wait to get our own car back without the mod cons.

I think the new 2022 CEED will impact X-CEED sales now as the CEED had the right proportions just needed a face lift

@@rivervalegroup we have an xceed as a second car in Quantum yello, 160 HP myld hybrid, Panorama in the Xdition Equipment built in 2021 and are very satisfied with the car. I prefer to drive than our new mercedes a 200 class.

Kia in my opinion are not as reliable as people might think. Dont be fooled by the 7 year warranty. If you own one from new, apparently for each year that passes (up to the 7th year), less is covered under the warranty. A lot of buyers dont realise that. Thats what ive heard anyway.
