The main problem with the conclusion is that it was too similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy Infinity stone scene, specifically the part where Peter has a vision of his mother reaching out to him. But it was a very good scene, and a great element in Bill's character arc.

Bill is great, I really want her to stay, even though I know she won't, she'll probably end up dying and if so I hope it is done well as she is my favourite companion since Wilf.

I rather liked this story. Personally though, I feel it would've worked better as an alternate reality rather than just memory altering technology because they would've had a lot more wiggle room.

No. Peter Capaldi is my second favourite after David Tennant. David's performance was AMAZING, unsurprising after finding out he wanted to become an actor because he watched Doctor Who when he was younger.

I found this episode a really nice and different way of concluding a three-parter and didn't have a Last of the Time Lords-esque ending which i had feared coming into the episode. The soundtrack, of course, was on stellar form and definitely added to the episode. It wasn't the perfect episode i must admit and was not quite on par with the previous two episodes (but they were something hard to top), however, still keeping S10 on track to being one of the best and most consistent series of the modern era. The acting was superb from all the main cast, however, I do believe they should have delved deeper into this weird totalitarian world in which The Monks had made everyone believe in. Perhaps extending the running time to 1 hour and giving more explanation to the Monks and this new world would have benefited the episode an awful lot. Still, for me, I'd give it an 8/10 after Extremis' 9.5/10 and TPATEOTW's 9/10

I cannot express how much I love these; 4:20-5:10, This Is Gallifrey, Bills Mum just went viral and The music used when Bill shoots The Doctor and he regenerates. Especially 5:00-5:10

I honestly wish this story had been a finale and the Doctor betraying Bill and regenerating actually happened. Imagine if Bill and Nardole had freed Missy to fight the Doctor while they stop the Monks. The episode would have to be heavily rewritten but I think you could have an amazing three part finale that would show how tired the Doctor is (which is why he takes the easy way out and joins the Monks) and then he pays for it with regenerating and losing Bill, which brings him to his senses at the end of the season, and would set Jodie up with a darker tone, almost like an RDT ending. Then 13 could finish 12’s mission to be kind, finding her good side again through her companions, almost like with 9 and Rose.

I agree with McThar98, the music was perfect for this scene, though I didn't like the way they've played with Capaldi's regeneration... That was pretty insulting to us and to him (and that ridiculous fall, seriously?!) ... There is no reason explaining that 12 fakes his regeneration, because Bill didn't know about that (12 mentioned it but never explained it to her) so the point wasn't tricking Bill but tricking us, and knowing that we all know that 12 will regeneration for Christmas, that was really useless and insulting... They'd better choose a new and better music than that one for his real regeneration because if it's the same, I'll be thinking about this one and it will a bad memory, and if the music isn't better, I'll be disappointed... Peter Capaldi is my favorite Doctor and he doesn't deserve that from Steven Moffat nor me because now I see 12 differently (in a bad way) and I didn't want me to. In short, they've made a really big mistake.

Heaven Sent is the only episode I can think off that might top it. The only reason I prefer this episode's is because I noticed the music during the episode (possibly because there was absolutely nothing else to watch tbh), whereas Heaven Sent's music I went back to after the episode to listen again, and that's when I fell in love with it. Hey, who knows, we still have the rest of series 10 to hear, and there might be some hidden beauts hidden elsewhere too!

Akhaten deserves special mention for the long song. However, I feel the Long Song on its own is not that good (it is good, but nothing phenomenal) I feel it is helped by the stunning speech it accompanies in the episode.
