Basically theory is that he feels drowned because of the constant failures at attempting to save the girl. This is a reoccuring moment. Technically he can never lead a normal live, time will keep repeating and the way to fix this was by preventing the girl from drowning. And thing is that at the end, seongwoo keeps dying from trying to save the girl but was she ever saved? We would never know.

So, potential theories: 1. Something like a Groundhog Day sequence, where every time he fails to save the girl, he wakes up that morning in his bed again. 2. He died trying to save the girl, and he keeps reliving the event as a ghost. 3. It’s all a dream and he can’t wake up until he drowns/dies in the dream. 4.
