OT Rex - Models and Theories Overview

Hi everyone!
I hope you're doing well. Today, I will be covering some common models and theories that I reviewed during my NBCOT prep. Of course, there are SO many models we could cover so this is not all of them but a good handful to review.
I highly recommend making real life connections to these concepts and apply it to your own life. It makes it much easier to learn. Also, you can organize them by similarity or difference-- whatever works best for you. I like to find the similar ones and then pick out what makes them different.

Hello. Thank you for your message. I don't have a picture of it as these were my personal notes when I was studying. I would recommend making your own note page based on this or the sources I linked so that you can review and organize it to fit your studying needs. Good Luck!

I thought they were the same? PEO is a theory, while PEOP is the model born out of the PEO theory?

Is there a constant number of approaches or models or For's because its so confusing to me. Can you please help?

I wish the were but there are so many more than this. Depending on the population you work with, the models and theories you will utilize (along with your therapeutic use of self) will differ. I think models and theories are particularly tricky because it doesn't make much sense until you are practicing and experience it in real life scenarios. I plan to make a video to cover my experiences in pediatrics with examples covering this content soon.
