Hi Jonathan, you mention the downstairs section of your home. I have 2 storeys also. So can you take it upstairs to clean, or can you only have one map of the home where the ecovac will operate?

Hi Does it need to be permanently connected to the internet so all the app features and schedules work? Or can I control it's features, settings and schedules through the app (Obviously besides the video) lol

In order to communicate with the robot through the app it has to be connected to WiFi. You could technically setup a dummy network that's not connected online but honestly to get the most out of it you'll want an online connection especially for routine updates.

I’m considering a robot vac, and one thing missing from all these models is the ability to rise up and down stairs. It should be possible to implement with a scissor jack arrangement, where the robot is jacked up to the next step, slides forward and then the jack retracts and slide back under the robot. I’m not a mechanical engineer, but the inspiration I’ve seen comes from the way the Chinese railway viaducts are built. It’s genius. Sure, I could carry the vac from one floor to the next, but that’s effort, and it goes against the ethos of automated cleaning.

I don't understand why you put lies on the net. I watched this video before I bought it and bought it as a result. The stupidest and biggest mistake I could have made, I had an older model which gives it class. So it doesn't clean well at all it doesn't reach everywhere so 1300 deuro better keep it in my pocket. It's not worth it. Sorry I bought it.
